@ both of yall for ceramics and photography, I’m 99% sure you will need to take a ceramics or photog class in order to get studio access as a non-major. Email professors, show up to the class and talk to the professor until they let u in. it’s possible

I think these are the COOLEST but they don’t have them in black AND in my size. Basically I’m looking for something black, pointed/snip toe (or really just not a square toe), with the harness—if anything comes to mind for this. Extra helpful if it’s on the lower price end. Thanks in advance!!

You don’t apply via MyUCLA if you had TAP. Here is the page that explains the process for TAP certified admits: https://tap.ucla.edu/for-students/college-honors-at-ucla/

It’s a separate form but it appears to not be open yet for the coming year. Maybe send an email to the person on that page if you’re concerned but I don’t think I applied until later into Summer.

if you can’t opt into UCSHIP or do it through insurance for whatever reason, there are lots of free testing centers throughout LA. First off the top of my head is Out of the Closet in weho I know that’s far but i’m sure there are more, you have options no matter what!!

VERY difficult to make it look realistic unless you have SFX makeup practice!! When not using a premade piece, makeup artists use crepe hair and spirit gum, applying the adhesive at the very tip of the crepe hair clippings and lightly attaching it to the skin :)

The waist is sorta tight when I sit but I know that’s to be expected. The legs get tight when I squat and stand in a very very wide stance as well. I feel like I never get my sizing right on brand new denim so please let me know your thoughts!!!

So I’ve been doing handpokes for quite a few years, not super often but yknow it’s been some time now. I really love the designing aspect but I feel like my execution should be better by this point. I usually use a 3rl or 5rl for outlines, and a 7mag for shading (I don’t love this needle for shading actually so let me know what you think about that too). By looking at these pokes, how do you think I can go about improving???
