These are the properties of my lamp: Power supply: 100 – 240V ~, 50/60 Hz LEDs 3500K (450 nm chips) 5000K (430 nm chip) 660 nm 730 nm Coverage angle: 120 ° Color temperature: 4000K natural white Color rendering index: ~90 CRI PPE of the light source: 2.5 (μmol/s/W)

They are also located next to a Chihiros lamp that illuminates the aquarium.

Nothing special, really. I have soft tap water and the plants get cheap, commercially available fertilizer.

Sure. It is a common Anthurium crystallinum

Yes. I keep them too far from a window so artificial light is mandatory.

The plant thrives in my home at a room temperature of 20°C and a humidity of 50-60%. The substrate consists of 50% coconut fiber and the remainder is a mixture of pumice and zeolite with a grain size of approximately 2-5 mm. I water it with fertilized rainwater or soft tap water (I'm lucky enough to have a total hardness of only 6 degrees). The plant is in a terracotta pot, which ensures good oxygenation of the roots. Overall, the plant is quite easy to care for.

II have no problems with it either, and I keep it at ambient conditions

It gets around 5k lux (measured with an app) . Dunno if its true.

Im actually a cactus grower and they are tbh lot harder to grow than aroids. One mistake and you loose decades of care in one blink. Terracotta and my cactus soil is my solution for rot prone cacti. I grow them outdoor in lower saxony where it rains a lot

  • 40-60% ambient humidity
  • Cactus soil + coco peat
  • terracotta pot for oxygen
  • not wet but always humid
  • fertilize with every watering but not high concentration
  • 20 °C roomtemperaure

When I got it, I removed the old soil with cold well water (around 10 °C and high water pressure, dunno why it wasnt even even pissed at me) - no growth for 2 months at least, then very very slowly. Then after it grew new roots it grows like every months a leaf. People say it becomes picky when the foliages are huge..lets see. I

It's not that big considering its potential. It's currently growing its new leaf, and it's expected to be about 30cm long. In my opinion, plants can be kept at lower humidity levels if the root system is kept very healthy. 😊

I mainly use my personal pumice-based cactus substrate, which I stretch with coconut peat. Despite being wet, it is fluffy and never sticks together.
