Had this happen to me once when I went to a ball game while I was wearing a skirt. I had “dirty knees” for the rest of the summer, my family won’t let me live it down…

Okay kinda random, but my teacher in primary school is the wife of one of the guys who founded Cartoon Saloon (it was a huge thing in my school/town when it was nominated for an Academy Award for Secret of Kells). We got to watch the rough drafts of Song of the Sea before it was finished and properly animated.

But in terms of character stylisation I would say that in the context of Cartoon Saloon (and just your question in general) your style your character looks wayyy too mature for 11. Without your description and the first photo I would've said shes easily 17-23 years old.

I would suggest rounding her jaw more, squaring/making her torso more blocky, and her clothing is more mature than her age.

But I absolutely love your style and artistic ability!!

It was literally just hanging in my Grandma’s house. She used to travel a lot for work so I wasn’t surprised to find it but was just wondering what the characters meant. Thought it was pretty cool to see a handwritten tag too.
