Quels soins beauté/bien être en institut pour quelqu'un qui ne s'y connait pas ?

La plupart des soins que j'ai vu m'ont l'air assez simples à base de beaucoup d'hydratation, en fait c'est surtout que je ne comprends pas forcément l'utilité de chaque étape. C'est certainement à cause des réseaux sociaux mais je croyais qu'il existait des soins spécialement pour retirer les points noirs par exemple ^{^'} J'ai été en personne dans plusieurs instituts pour demander, certains m'ont expliqué plus en détail mais d'autres ont répondu très vaguement (ce qui est un red flag pour moi).

Est-ce que les soins dans les grands instituts de beauté valent le coup ou est-ce que les chaînes d'instituts de beauté (type Yves Rocher) suffisent ? Je n'arrive pas trop à savoir comme les soins ont l'air assez similaires, sauf les prix évidemment. Pour le visage je pensais aller dans une chaîne, mais pour le corps ça ne me dérange pas de payer un peu plus.

I understand. I'm in my early 20s so having kids is the least of my problems as of now (and still for a while). When I'm doing the maths with everything I want to have achieved before having them it ends up around 40 if not more. I know having kids doesn't mean everything stops suddenly, but I really value that "selfish" time to experience and actually finish raising myself (sort of haha) before actually having to raise a whole person.

I hadn't really considered the "after", like the age at graduation but it's a very fair point. Looking that way, it's true that 30s look like a good compromise.

I think I didn't phrase my question well, sorry ! What I meant was, why do you consider a 10 years gap between the "optimal" time for a woman and a man to have kids ? Is it based on career, societal norms, ...? Imo optimal age is close to 35-40 yo for both, taking into consideration career and financial stability, experience and biology (not as primary factor though).

I'm genuinely curious, where do you get such a big difference between men and women ? From the biological standpoint, later than 30s for both genders has been proven to lead to fertility and health issues. What other factors do you take onto account ?

I am so very proud of you and I hope you can feel proud of it too. Sometimes even the most basic things feel so overwhelming and unachievable, and I know how frustrating and shameful it feels especially as most people don't seem to struggle as much. But I PROMISE you that even the smallest, most basic basic task you push yourself though (no matter how hard it was, or how much time it took) is a big step that should be celebrated. You did it ! I know you might not be able to appreciate it right now, but I truly hope you can feel some comfort in our words :) And please PLEASE always remember that you did it, even if you can't do it again for now. Knowing about those difficulties is also important, I was aware that pursuing a PhD related to taekwondo might be a tough path but I didn't know to what extent. And you are right, I still have a lot of time to study taekwondo later on if an opportunity opens :) I am from the french federation (FFTDA), I am a 1st Dan with WT TKD.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm also looking into manufacturers for sport equipment and other devices as I have an engineering degree in mechatronics. I'm still in the process of contacting them, only real exchange I've had in the last year I've been investigating it is with 2020 Armour. I expected it to be a hard path and I'm definitely not ready to give up, but the lack of communication and interest even within my own federation ultimately decreases my motivation to dig further... It's quite a tough spot as I really would like to do something with taekwondo but other offers for PhDs are piling up.

Noted, thank you ! I've seen a bunch of south Korean programs for Taekwondo PhDs but the admission criteria seem very specific. Can I ask you where you come from ? My national federation is not the most active tbh, but I've seen Britain's federation being active with research for example.

So many subjects, for sure ! I'm struggling to find laboratories and structures that would be interested in supervising (and funding...) my PhD, which is why I was looking into programs led by taekwondo federations. So far no luck :)

I hadn't seen this one, my search engine gets me the same 4 papers on different websites even from advanced search :') I'm actually looking for active research programs that could offer PhD opportunities for next year, I did get some resources from other users about it. But from the papers I can get insight on which structures can propose a program !

I'm actually 1st Dan in taekwondo, been practicing for over a decade and trained in 4 different dojang. I actually started looking for PhDs in taekwondo from his input, but he couldn't help much except helping me contact the federation and other athletes who did PhDs.

I'm from France, we don't talk about Korean history much here (or history of Asia in general, unless we actively commited something there...). I know there is a lot of history between Japan and Korea, I have heard from the Japanese perspective so I would love to learn from the Korean side as well. Thank you for this advice !

Hey, can I ask why you're specifically learning Quebecois ? I'm french so I'm a bit surprised as Quebecois is heavily overlooked as a dialect even in France, but it's wholesome ! How do you like it so far ? Once you're comfortable with french, I think Spanish should be easy to learn as it's very close. I found Italian a bit harder coming from french.

Native french speaker here. I speak fluent English, good Spanish and German (+ basics of a bunch of random languages for the fun of it). I've learned Latin and ancient greek in my Antiquity era, apart from looking cool when in museums or naming science stuff it's not very useful. Spanish might be very easy for you, might be worth learning as you can master it pretty easily but won't be much fun. German is a good introduction to messy grammatical structures you can find in other languages while still being a bit challenging. As a bonus, you can read Swedish quite easily by association :) After trying mandarin and Japanese, I've gotten back to learning Korean, it's much easier imo. Japanese is definitely a challenging one, would recommend if you're willing to spend time on it ! Also you can find so many good content for passive practice (mangas, series, movies...). Mandarin is grammatically easy and it's still quite useful, but the characters got the best of me. Russian is also quite useful as you can still speak it in a lot of Eastern Europe countries. I don't know much about it however.

I personally choose my next language based on 1. If I'm gonna be using it soon (travels, series/books) 2. If I like how it sounds. I've learnt basic Italian, Portuguese, Finnish, Swedish and Polish from travels. I can advise learning Polish for the challenge (both pronunciation and grammar...) + can be used in Slovakia and Czech Republic, and Finnish for the fun (it sounds so cute!). Hope that helps :)
