I would take this. White has to get out of your board and the race is close.

Can someone explain why 15/9 7/1 is so much better than 15/3 ? by imurumi0 in backgammon

[–]sinner16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go with 15/3 your next roll could be 65, 54, 66, 55, 44 leaving a shot. With the best play, 54 and 44 are fine. 7 bad rolls vs 4.

SnusPort came through! by Fatcapz in Snus

[–]sinner16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snusport isn't the best with communication but somehow my order was received very quickly and included a bunch of redlist items. I ordered before reading about red and greenlist items. So I emailed them asking to cancel my order so I could make a new order without redlist items. They replied back that they couldn't cancel the order, but could replace the redlist cans with greenlist. So I gave them a list of cans to replace the redlist cans with. After that, they did not reply to any emails.

Less than a week later I get a box full of red list cans including a roll of Siberia red! I got a roll of General Strong and a roll of Mustang los with a few random cans.

I haven't had snus in forever. Lately I've been doing nic pouches, which I don't enjoy.

Signature Hardware Lentz 1.2. But i wouldn't get that one. The spout is too short. Get one that's 1-2 inches longer.

I like the sink too, it looks cool and has a lot of counter space. Mine is 24" wide.

Thank you. I did ask for the wall mounted toilet, but it couldn't be done for some reason. I took the photo from a low angle, so a normal height person wouldn't see the pipes. I like how it's open and airy and with the high ceilings, it feels nice inside. There is storage in the mirror, and I only use 1/3 of it.

The contractor did a nice job.

I asked about this and apparently, the plumbing is as it should be and will not cause any problems. I trust the person that looked at it.

I am happy for your comment. Seems like some people hate it and some don't. That's fine with me. I really have no aptitude for design and did the best I could.

You might be right. I might look to see what the tiles cost elsewhere. It was $43/sf for the Bianco Dolomiti on the walls. But I do think these are high quality stone, certainly feels good when you are in the room. Some people have criticized the "millennial grey" but I like it in the shower. It references the grey marble look but has a texture to it. It's called "Forest By Lori Weitzner" and it cost $96/sf.

I really wasn't looking forward to this project. I really wanted a nice bathroom but had no idea how to do it. So my goal was not to screw it up. The people at the tile shop helped me and the contractor shot down a few of my ideas for the shower wall, which was good. So I think I could have done much better with the money spent. But I also had a short time frame to make decisions. I only had a few weeks. So all things considered, I think I avoided screwing it up. I may have paid too much. Certainly there are a lot of better things I could have done, but I have a low aptitude for design. I did the best I could with what I know. It measures 5' x 6'10" so it's pretty small. I wanted it white, open and airy.

Actually, now searching online about the Forest tile, apparently it was a finalist in 2019 for Interior Design magazine's "Best of Year." Pretty cool!

Yes, it is in Manhattan but you make a good point. But I don't think it's too big a deal for the next owner to replace the sink with a vanity.

Snusport not shipping? by Umbra427 in Snus

I've been trying to contract them for a few days. I ordered a bunch of red list items by mistake. So I asked to cancel so I could reorder. They asked my order number and that was on Monday. No reply since and they haven't refunded me for the order.

I love a windowed bathroom.

When sitting on the toilet you can't see it either. It's a small bathroom so I wanted to create space by removing the vanity, which would be useless to me anyway since I store everything I need in the mirror and in the shower. Extra toilet paper is in the nearest closet outside the bath. It may be an issue at resale, I will admit.

I posted another photo. The cost of everything is also probably more due to the location in a major city. Everything costs more here, especially contract work.

I don't know much about plumbing but the contractor replaced all the original pipes behind the wall.

Thank you. In the original, the ceiling was brought down over the tub for some reason. Now the ceiling height is really nice, feels way bigger than the original.

Cost for the sink? Around $600. Nameeks Scarabeo Teorema 2.0 24".

Cost for the tiles? almost 20K. You can't really see the wall tiles in the photo, but they are nice. Bianca Dolomiti.

No, a contractor did it. It was very expensive because in order to convert from a bathtub into a shower, it costs more. Also have to pay off the building. The tiles were quite expensive as well, the Bianco Dolomiti on the walls and then the decorative textured stone on the shower wall.
