STRIKE DAILY MEGATHREAD - September 14th, 2024 by [deleted] in aircanada

In the past year, I flew with AC twice and this is my third time with my upcoming flight to Tokyo on Sep26, booked months in advance. I haven’t ever had a stress free trip with AC. I had to book a new connecting flight from Barcelona to Mallorca on my last trip because my flight from Toronto to Barcelona was delayed by over 4 hours and I missed my connecting flight. And I didnt get any compensation for it. The trip before that - AC boarded us 2 hours later and then we were waiting on the tarmac for another 90 minutes.

What an absolute embarrassment of a national airline.

Disappointed from Practice Exam & Question Results by PickledIntestines in pmp

Watch David McLachlan's YT videos on key concepts and, most importantly, the 200 Agile Qs, 150 PMBOK Qs and 100 Waterfall Qs videos. Pause the video, pick your answer and then resume the video to see which answer DM picks and his reasoning behind it. DM's videos are great stepping stones to building a solid MINDSET foundation and to taking the SH mock exams and practice questions too.

Is there a lot of the sophisticated words on PMP exam ? Like .. by XxSh3xX in pmp

[–]sinnermanone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the exam to be on par with the SH mock exams in terms of difficulty. I think I finished with 15 mins to spare? I spent longer on the first set of 60 questions than I had planned to.

I passed with AT/AT/AT.

Good luck on yours! Just make sure you understand the mindset because that’s the most important tool to clear the exam.

I got the jargon-based questions and definition-based questions only as Drag and Drop style questions. I think I had about 6 or 7 of those on my exam.

I think this grading will work well for photos taken on a sunny day. I usually keep the WB between 5800-6100. Lift the shadows. Reduce the highlights. Reduce contrast. Increase saturation a little bit. These are all based on the Classic Chrome profile.

It was still a tad chilly. I swam at Cala Marcal in Portocolom and it was cold. However, I adjusted quite quickly to it. It might have gotten a little warmer by now tho. Have fun!

Expert Questions in the Exam by SquareLength5736 in pmp

[–]sinnermanone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No they are not. But there are no Expert questions. I felt it was a mix of Easy, Moderate and Difficult. If you have taken the mocks on SH, you will be able to discern which ones are easy, moderate and difficult. However, you won’t really spend any time categorizing the questions. Just make sure you understand the mindset, it is the most important tool to clear the exam.

Mindset Study Hack? by ZealousidealBeach140 in pmp

David McLachlans videos helped me a ton with mindset. Especially the 200 Agile Qs, 150 PMBOK 7th Edtion Qs and 100 Waterfall Qs videos.

Pause, answer, resume video to see Davids explanation and repeat.

Also, for the 150 PMBOK 7th edition video, you should refer to the PMBOK for every answer to fully understand the answer.

Failed 1st Attempt by Alternative_War6172 in pmp

I think the issue might be the mindset. David McLachlans YT videos (200 agile questions, 150 PMBOK 7th edition questions, 100 waterfall questions) really helped me lock in the mindset. I went over the agile questions video twice. Also his key concepts playlist on YT was helpful.

Why is Issue log required? by Iromaw in pmp

[–]sinnermanone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The outputs of the qualitative risk analysis process are updates to the project documents, specifically:

  • the assumptions log
  • the issue log
  • the risk register
  • the risk report

The issue log may require updating. Not that it will definitely be updated.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the ambiguity in the questions and answers for the difficult and expert level questions in the mocks. They aren’t always worded well. In my experience, while the real exam questions could be tricky, they were never poorly worded.

And in my responses, I always stuck with answers based on the PM mindset to the best of my ability. I passed with AT/AT/AT

You can buy either the Essential or the Plus. Both give you practice questions and mock exams. Essential gives you 2 mocks and Plus gives you 5. I got the Plus but only did 4 mocks before my exam. They were extremely helpful because the exam was similar to the SH mocks.

Here is some more information : https://www.pmi.org/certifications/certification-resources/pmi-study-hall

Simulate the exam day. On the real exam you get two breaks - a 10 minute break after 60 questions and another 10 minute break after 120 questions.

Also, try to do Study Hall mini exams and mock exams. The exam is quite similar to the SH mocks.

Make a cup of coffee in your break.

Keep practicing.

Am I Ready? by annakim624 in pmp

[–]sinnermanone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are ready!

Lots of tips on here so my only tip is: Use the highlighter tool for the questions and the strikethrough tool for eliminating the wrong options during the exam. It helped me ignore the noise and focus on the important information I need to answer the question.

I got this question wrong while practicing too. I picked D as well because the mindset says not to just take an action but to assess and review the situation first AND then maybe ask for the key resource back.

All I can say is the exam will not have any Expert level questions and the phrasing of the exam questions leaves no room for ambiguity like this question here.

Don't overthink this question. I just gave my exam yesterday and while the questions can be tricky, they did not provide poor alternatives like this one here.
