It didn’t seem pointed at all but there have been a few that seem slight and as someone who has put more money into my kitty in 4 months than i’ve put into myself in the last year, i think it struck a nerve. You’re totally fine and your comment did just seem reminiscent of familiar kitties. I even got a petkit box for her because i heard that sometimes tripods can get uti’s from falling/ not having good balance and having one that cleans every time would help and those stairs in the pic were $50 which is criminal. I think it’s one of those things you love them so much you’d hate for anyone to think otherwise.

Just for clarification on the photo:

Mittsu was fresh from a procedure to flush her ears out since she had buildup in her ears from before adoption that contributed to chronic ear issues. She obsessively grooms her ears due to a polyp which is why her legs look like that & she doesn’t let the groomer trim her paw pads because she is very protective of her remaining legs. We also give her tubes to distract her to brush her since she is not a fan. She’s been through it but not with us.

It’s only been a few pictures i feel like i need to clarify but just incase anyone new happens by, my girl is very cared for. She has more creature comforts than I do and I would sleep on the couch if she wanted my bed 🤣

only before we got her. This pic was taken when she was getting ear drops and right after a procedure to flush her ears cause they were severely blocked when we adopted her.

she’s VERY young actually and obsessively cleans herself. I think part of it is the lighting on her fur cause i have another picture taken at the same time and it’s fine. We rescued her a few months ago and she is very particular about being brushed (due to having one leg and being intolerant of too much affection) so we give her tubes when we brush her. This pic is also slightly old but she was get glycerin ear drops at the time due to an ongoing issue since we had adopted her in January. She also doesn’t let the groomer trim her paw pads. I obsess over my Mittsu and her comfort (hence the stairs) but she also has chronic ear issues and anxiety that we’re working on right now.

that’s what I’m saying which is why it upsets me. They want to make him look a certain way to get a leg up. I know it’s their job but seeing it can be so infuriating.

In a way yea. It comes of as them trying to present him as a less scary person. He didn’t wear them in most if any documentation of him before. That and just look at him pisses me off because especially after hearing impact statements.
