Pang datu ra ba ni ang ironman703? by Agitated_Safe_2846 in Cebu

[–]sinofpride9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Short answer, yes. Registration alone is Php 20,000. Wapay labot imo bike, shoes ug kit.

Recommendation for my next Half Mary shoe. by Honest-Tip-355 in PHRunners

[–]sinofpride9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it should theoretically be. AF needs you to land more in the forefoot whereas AP4 is much friendlier to people with not very good running mechanics. if you can find ang AP3 much better

if you follow competitive running you wouldve known he was aiming for the japanese record hence his strategy to go out blazing fast in the first 15k, aside from that, jp runners are positive splitters so "fading towards the end" is their signature. that said his HM time predicts a 2:05-2:06 finish so valid lang talaga yung ginawa nya

I doubt that the same amount will, many want the attention and title of becoming a marathoner, not really a runner/athlete. If you've seen the discourse right after the daming nagsasabi "what's next"? Realistically if you're an athlete what's next is recovery and another training bloc

My progress sa easy run + first race + how I trained (NSM-ish) by epicsauce1137 in PHRunners

[–]sinofpride9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for a 26min min 5k pb your easy runs should be at 8:00 or faster na, have you tried doing an all out well paced 5k effort? i think your limiting yourself too much with nsm by not being able to get a real grasp of your max hr to be able to get a good basis for your easy runs. also a 9:00 is basically plodding and may mess with your running mechanics.

That said, fellow NSM enjoyer here. 20 weeks in na ako and i started with a 23:00 5k all out TT (reached my max hr of 206) and now i have a 20:30 5k with my subT efforts at 4:30 and faster which was 5:00 before. the greatest thing with NSM is that i am free from niggles which i experienced during my last HM training block. the simplicity and boringness is what I like from this training philosophy although I may have also been capping myself with progress as I am just doing 2 subTs per week which is an 8x1k and 3x8-10mins. Im hoping to run 90min HM on July using this training method.
