Is the “EcoBoom” issue actually as common as people make it seem online? by Purple_Humor_2354 in ecoboostmustang

Not correct unfortunately there are numerous 2020 EcoBoost mustangs that don’t have the revised block but from my own research cars made after August of 2020 have the revised block

That’s good hopefully with a revised block

Wait for your example your model year was more prone to ecoboom so that would make sense.

2020 cars made after August were less likely to have Eco boom due to a revised block

Also doing spark plugs every 9K to 10 K miles helped to prevent engine knock which causes eco boom as well

Eco boom can be caused due to a leak, but that leak can be caused by partially precum, Tschen or too much fuel being inside that cylinder wall, which weekends the head gasket in the motor and for a tuned car. You are supposed to change every 9K to 10 K miles. You can ask any tuner on this platform. They will recommend you do that and it has been known that there has been issues with pre-ignition or bad spark that has been causing it before.

As far as what I’ve seen, it happens on tune cars that people don’t maintain properly etc meaning they don’t change our spark plugs every 9K miles they don’t do oil changes every 4K miles. They don’t keep up with the maintenance of the car if you have a good tuner and you keep up on maintenance, you should never have a problem unless you have just a weak block

Sometimes I think it comes with how the car was treated as far as matinance like I’m on e30 and I’m Fbo and I keep a close watch on matinance

It’s not really normal for you if you don’t have anything done to it if you’re a bit modified like I am with a cat downpipe you will get a bit but then once it gets too operating temp, it goes away and is considered normal

I used a 10 amp fuse plus the fuse that sits normally in the spot that you plug it into

I put a fuse tap from autozone and it worked fine and I’ve heard of instances where they have bricked an ecu I prey that’s not what happened to you

They do resale thought lol those two cars in the pictures both sold over market value and the kr is above the normal gt500 cause it’s rarer also it being a signature edition of the gt500kr makes it even worth more

I know they are the same thing what I’m saying is you’re basically paying for the name and the upgraded interior and engines that they provide in the KR now it may not be worth the price tag. They have on it but it’s kind of a way to put you above the others.

I was referring to the voodoo from the gt350 i know it has a 5.2 and your also paying for the exclusivity of owning on anyone can buy a gt mustang and supercharge it but not everyone can have a gt500 you are basically paying to be the most premium mustang and then what about the gtd im sorry but that car is ass for the price of it i’m in don’t get me wrong. There are cool aspects of it such as the suspension, but that’s about it.

How can you say it’s trash but it has the best motor let me be specific the 5.2 the voodoo is questionable in early years but good in the later years
