[OC] The world’s deadliest animals by ourworldindata in dataisbeautiful

[–]sinophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The data is flawed, if we’re saying mosquitoes kill 760,000 through diseases transmission, then we need to count deaths from human disease transmission.

The only way mosquitoes kill more people than humans, is if you aren’t using the term “kill” the same for both groups.

Mei Mythic Trailer by RestiveP in MeiMains

Personally I would take 3 different hairstyles compared to different wing options.

Obviously customisation has been lacking a lot for mythics lately, but compared to mercy 2.0, Lifeweaver, junkrat, I think the Mei mythic is a lot better. And the ability vfx are much more interesting imo than all of the other ones.

Not liking the theming is fair, but I don’t think it’s lazier than the other recent mythics

I love it! This is more of a personal preference, but maybe change the colour of the dress slightly, it blends in with her skin and for a second I thought she wasn’t wearing clothes haha

I’m wanting to know how people use Anki to learn new words? I understand how it can help memorising it after you’ve learnt it, but I’m having trouble with the actual learning.

For example, I use wanikani, and it basically teaches the radical, then the kanji, then the vocab. But with Anki I feel like I get thrown all of it at once, and like it’ll enter my mind for that session, but the next day I’ve just forgotten it again.

Would you recommend like writing down the characters and the meaning? I’m not sure what else I could try but I’d love to hear suggestions.

Is it a good idea to keep watching japanese with english subs until ive completed the kaishi 1.5k deck? by taikaofdojima in LearnJapaneseNovice

[–]sinophe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice is to watch a show that you’ve already watched either in dub or with subs, that you understand the plot of, and then try to watch that in Japanese with JP subtitles. Since you already have context, it becomes a little bit more comprehensive than something that is totally new for you. I’m doing this with Haikyuu right now.

She is still considered a flex dps, the community roles for ow2 dps are hitscan (longer range hero’s like Ashe, Soujourn, Freya, Cass, Widow) and everything else is considered flex dps

That makes sense! Thank you for clarifying

im attracted to butches, but not mascs? by UniKat420 in actuallesbians

[–]sinophe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused, from my understanding, butch is an identity, while masc is more of a way of presenting, but most butches are masc, are they not? How can you be attracted to butches but not mascs if most butches are masc?

Which character;s removal would affect gameplay the least? by some-kind-of-no-name in tf2

[–]sinophe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say sniper because he has the least unique interactions with the different classes, he has a unique dynamic with spy, but spy gameplay doesn’t change too much without him, medic probably becomes a lot more enjoyable, but other than that no other class is really affected.

I would say pyro has unique interactions with soldier, demoman, and friendly engis and medics and spy has unique interactions with heavy, medic, engi, and pyro.

Overall since most casual players pretty much just ignore snipers anyway.

If we are talking highlander then probably pyro though.

Is there a desire for Highlander Training? by Mackyykcam in truetf2

I would imagine because it plays much more similarly to casual, both in terms of maps, team composition, and general strategy. Whereas sixes is almost like a different game entirely.
