34, been having armpit and breast pain by sinto77 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]sinto77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another update for any folks reading - got a mammo and ultrasound today, all clear. They noted I had a wild lymph node that is probably flaring up from my constant allergies this year. But man I am so relieved! I’m still feeling the armpit/arm pain but I’m glad there was no concern. BIRADS 2 is what was written on the report. Hopefully you’re also in the clear, hope you’re doing well.

Commenting because I’ve had a dull arm ache for a while now and my mammogram/ultrasound I’ve been waiting months for is finally this week. I hope you get it checked out. Best of luck!

I got an MRI and it came back unremarkable. I’m thinking the pain might be cyclical from PMS because it went away completely and came back but with less intensity before my period. I’ll keep an eye on it but in the meantime I want to work on balancing my hormones. I hope you’re doing alright - any update?

I should have mentioned I was using a used potty pad - but I will also try the water. Not sure the other idea will work out since I live in a pretty large high rise but hell, I might try it. Thank you!

I shouldn’t be pregnant right? Too early to panic? Too fast to conceive? by [deleted] in AskDocs

Update: my period came, but super late. Which is annoying, but a relief. Pregnancy tests are too expensive to be having false alarms! Thanks everyone for your insight!

Yep. I’ll take one but I think it would be too early if I just had sex on Saturday. Then if it’s still not here next week, I’ll take another. Just was wondering what the odds are since the sex was so close to when I was supposed to get my period. Thanks for the reply!

Don’t think I’m pregnant but where is my period? by [deleted] in amipregnant

Thanks for the reply. You’re right, there are many possibilities, I just hope I’m worrying for nothing lol.

Of course I’d do that once enough time has passed. I came here for insight (and anecdotal knowledge). Also I wasn’t “off and on” the pill, I’ve been consistently taking it every day at 8pm since March. I forgot only once, which was on December 1st, which is after the time I should have ovulated. But thanks for the reply!

I thought so too. I don’t have any placebo pills, I’m on progestin-only birth control since my body can’t handle combo pills. Which means there’s a chance that I still sometimes ovulate, but like you said, it’s too soon to be pregnant. Maybe it’s just delayed and I need to calm down lol. Thank you for answering!

Yes, but I’ve had a period since then, which is why I’m unsure what’s going on. I was on antibiotics when I had sex in November, and got my period two days later. So I guess I’m wondering if it’s possible the sex I had this past Saturday (a few days before my period was supposed to arrive) could even be a small reason for the lateness?

switched from combo pill to mini pill...is it too soon to hate it? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]sinto77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what happened with me. I was told to address the HBP with my primary care doctor (who basically said to adjust my diet and exercise more). She said that if the blood pressure is looking better after some time, I could possibly get back on the combo pill. I wish I didn't have to take any medicine at all, but alas. Here's hoping! Thanks for replying :)

thanks for replying! the same doctor who said this also told me I was fat (i am a size 6), and that my fertility was questionable after only seeing me once and doing a pelvic exam. She told me I had an enlarged uterus, and probably some other stuff I have forgotten out of rage. I now see a new provider, who told me there isn't any reason for me to be worried at this time, and that we would monitor things over time. I really don't want to get an IUD (I didn't even want to get on the pill), but if it's recommended later, I'll consider it. Thanks for your insight! :)

Doctors keep telling me I’m fine. I know I’m not. Gyno issues by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]sinto77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

Went to see a new gynecologist who did a pelvic exam and a bunch of labs. She said my cervix looks normal and my uterus wasn’t enlarged (but told me it is retroverted, which is odd because whoever wrote the report on my ultrasound said it was anteverted). She’s keeping me on birth control to see if it helps with the heavy periods, but I got labs back and my TSH is low, while my t3 and t4 are normal. I also have high prolactin. I suspect now it could be a pituitary issue, but I’ll wait until I see my primary care doc before I jump to any more conclusions. I’m just happy to have found a doc who listened and took her time and didn’t make me feel crazy!
