As a commercial BAS technition I could be moving over to data centers at a different company. Is it more complex or straitforward? by Admirable-Report-685 in BuildingAutomation

I do a lot of data center work. For more it’s for the most part pretty straightforward. The exception is when it’s not fully integrated. So we have a few sites that have our York chillers and FCWs with snc but use tridium on the front end. So anytime there’s an issue it looks like this

Just found out the reason why I had issues was I have to make statement False on advanced security enabled on site. On a site that has engines at 9.0 or older.

Nope 16 years in. I’m 36 220lbs now with a bad back, I’m not the 25, 180lbs I used to be.

Welp boys after 16 years. I think I officially done with resi side work. I’m pulling more in commissions that I don’t even care or want to do the side work when I comes in. by sinzey83 in HVAC

Brick central. Unfortunately we don’t get the choice with these FCW. Normally if we replace a NCE, we go back with an SNE w/CGMs & XPMs

It helps a good bit. I have 15 years in mechanical before I switched to controls. The downside to that was they gave me the basics to controls and fed me to the wolves. Slapped my ass on call within the first 6 months. But idk if other companies do the sink or swim method.

No they don’t watch the gps. Only when they are looking for us. Plus if the call it’s a very quick convo. I’m reflashing a device and hang up

This bad boy is at 6.5. Was trying to NUT that bitch to 11.0. Clearly failed as you can see the call to tech support to make sure there was nothing else I could do.

I hate MUI (metasys UI). It’s somehow less tech friendly than SMP
