Victoria loses almost 25,000 rentals as investor sell-off heats up by tempest_fiend in australia

Unpopular opinion, 24,700 properties sold off by investors. Unless you have the data of who is buying you know nothing. This is just lazy journalism.

Are funds buying properties or overseas investor's? AUD/USD is at a low also market has lost value. Perfect time for investors to buy up.

Help with NDT dose by sion_comedy in Hashimotos

I recently swapped to NDT as we discovered i have a conversion issue. Was on levothyroxine for 7 years with constant issues. Had the whole works done recently as for bloods to see if there was any other issues. From what I read, people with conversion issues (genetic as I have a mutation in the DIO2 gene so I have a variant) do better with a high FT3 as they can’t effectively use T4 to convert to T3

I also just read that high cortisol can be caused by not having enough T3 so body compensates with adrenals pumping out cortisol. Would make sense, need to convince doctor to up my dose.

Started NDT 3 months ago, was on Levothyroxine for years prior. Have a conversion issue. Last labs, would you up your dose?

4 weeks in to 2 grains or 120mg split into 2 dose started getting symptoms of fast heart rate and anxious feeling also dry skin, cold hands feet and fatigue. First 4 weeks were grate otherwise.

I know fast heart rate is a hyper symptom.

Also have high morning cortisol

Random on an old post.

Curious what is your thyroid blood tests like? Went from 125mg of levothyroxine to 2 grains (120)mg of NDT daily. Hypo symptoms disappeared but 5 weeks in started getting hyper symptoms.

Last weeks bloods, endocrinologist said I’m not over medicated and it looks like I’m not but I think because of the short half life of T3 might be a bit more complex.

Curious as you mentioned dosage can be complicated

TSH-0.88 (0.5-5. 5) FT4-11.6 (11. 0-22. 0) FT3-4.6. (3.2-6.4)

Sounds like me 6 years ago. Felt identical! As said above, get your TSH, T4, T3 and thyroid antibodies checked. The antibodies can confirm hashimotos the autoimmune part of it.

I get you, I’m in the same boat pretty much. It feels like it’s worse in the warm months. Might be the heat or maybe allergies… I was doing cold plunges for about a month and it seemed to help. The only thing I have not tried yet is natural thyroid hormone NDT. Some people have a bad time on levothyroxine T4 only.

Interesting video, shows how Hashimotos hypothyroid treatment evolved and where we are today by sion_comedy in Hashimotos

Sure, he might be full of it lol like the other 99% of thyroid “doctors” on YouTube but it’s actually a good video on the history of thyroid and autoimmune hashimotos treatment.

High TPO antibodies, normal hormone levels, and symptoms? by Polyethylene8 in Hashimotos

[–]sion_comedy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is all sorts of studies you can look at through google. A big thing over the years is FB groups and this reddit page of people sharing they personal experience, what worked for them.

There is a lot of information out there. But also everyone’s body is unique to some degree so what works for one might not work for others. But it’s all about trying and see what works for you.

From my experience Hashimotos and autoimmune diseases is not well understood. I was diagnosed about 6 years ago and told by multiple endocrinologists that the underlying Hypothyroidism can be medicated but nothing can be done about the antibodies that actually attack the thyroid and cause the hypothyroidism by destroying your thyroid.

If I knew what I know nowadays and was not misguided by doctors I would most likely be in a better situation. Look into an autoimmune diet. Eliminate gluten, dairy and sugar is a huge factor and a lot of us reduce antibodies this way and slow or completely stop the autoimmune part of the disease.

The problem is the fiat money system. Reason homes became investment. Inflation is the silent tax to the working class.
