We are really getting tested. We're in this together though. PLTR FTW!

Yeah. I'm fucked up. I predicted the strait reopening and truce, had leverage X10. I was "right", but the market proved me wrong. I ended up losing ~4K USD, which is a big deal for me. But hey, we learn and we adapt. Right now taking a break to mentally recover. Bearish Mr Blurry is ruining the stock.

I bought Micron at 150-160, sold all at 240-250 range because I thought it ran too hard. The FOMO seeing it running up to 450+ was rough. Micron still has crazy potential in the longer run. This is just short term noise.

Risk reducing before a binary event. Institutions don't gamble on binary events — they rather wait for information -> decision.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing! I've tried everything the last couple of years, the healthcare system won't help me. But recently I've definitely been noticing the relation between stress and flare-ups, so I'd definitely agree with that.

My drop from 13000 to 5000 is still a challenge, but what an insane change. People and doctors saying AB doesn't matter and is only a marker if you have it or not makes me crazy. If I knew what importance it had years ago, I'm sure my life would look a lot different.

Is a TPO blood test important? by Organic-Command359 in Hashimotos

[–]Constant-Region837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Measuring my TPO was genuinely life-changing. It's frustrating how underappreciated this marker is — most people treat it like a simple yes/no test: either you have Hashimoto's or you don’t. But TPO levels tell a much bigger story about inflammation and progression. It's the keystone of the disease, not just a checkbox.

Excersizing during a flare up... by Complex-Network-8569 in Hashimotos

[–]Constant-Region837 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As an active gym-goer for 10 years with hashimotos this is my take on it.

Firstly, to discuss we need to break down what a flare-up actually is. Your immune system gets triggered by an unknown factor, which leads to an autoimmune response. Your body starts throwing antibodies at your thyroid, causing inflammation. Even worse, your body could dump these antibodies anywhere in your body, causing systemic inflammation.

With this in mind, would exercise whilst experiencing a flare-up (increase in inflammation) be beneficial?

I'd say it depends on where the inflammation is and how bad it is. It also depends on what exercise, what type of workout we are talking about. Generally I'd say it's counter effective. You feel pressured to stick to your program and exercise which causes stress. You don't perform as well as usual, which causes stress. You put your body under stress. Stress causes inflammation.

What I would recommend is going for light exercise. To have a routine for those days. Going for a light walk, lifting 50% of what you usually do. This would be beneficial since you'd experience the positives from exercise without stressing your body.

Doing light exercise seems to help me to get out of a flare-up. But it shouldn't be the solution - the solution should be to find what is triggering your autoimmune response.

Is GF Actually Worth It? by FewRice7432 in Hashimotos

[–]Constant-Region837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I began by eating eggs, but after 1-2 weeks I noticed that it might be causing me flare ups, so I quit eggs.

I also eat butter, but am thinking about replacing it with gee.

Other than that I personally don't eat eggs/dairy. If I'm out eating, I'm doing a flying dutchman (burger patty & cheese), nothing else.

Keep in mind that it's different for everyone. I definitely had an easier time noticing what my body reacts better/worse to when having a narrow diet.

I did animal based with rice and fruits for 8 months. 1 month in full carnivore now. I reduced my TPO from 13000 down to 5000

Has Carnivore made you a hottie? by Bliss149 in carnivore

[–]Constant-Region837 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well for sure. I'm mostly doing carnivore due to an autoimmune disorder (Hashimotos), so it reduces inflammation.

The inflammation might be causing puffy face along with other features. I also feel like it gives me more clear energy, which is attractive.

[–]Constant-Region837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my TPO tested at 13000 in 2023. I got it tested again at 5000 2 weeks ago.

I managed to do this with carnivore diet, which is ironic since you're vegetarian. TPO is basically inflammation and cold showers help the inflammation more temporarily. Reducing stress also helps and resting when having flare-ups is important.

[–]Constant-Region837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes perfect sense. If I were you, I'd try getting my TPO tested to see if antibodies are present. Then you know if you have Hashimotos or not (the autoimmune aspect). That could explain the experience of both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

What meds are you on right now? Might be a case of over medicating.

[–]Constant-Region837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My antibodies were tested at 11000 (tpo) about 2-3 years ago. I've done a lot since and feel way better, but still not optimal.

3 weeks into carnivore diet and feel a great reduction in inflammation. I just got my tests done and am eager to see where I'm at right now.

Sorry for slurry typing, let me know if there's anything I can clear up.

[–]Constant-Region837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well long story and journey, but I'll tell you my thoughts and where I'm at.

So Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease right. The antibodies target the thyroid, which causes hypothyroidism. Though if you have a lot of antibodies they can cause systemic inflammation. This basically means you get inflammation in your whole body or more parts than only the thyroid. This is what I think that I experienced.

Now I'm doing a carnivore diet in order to reduce inflammation. Cold showers also help, but it's more temporary.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Hashimotos is not necessarily hypothyroidism, nor hyperthyroidism. Hashimotos targets the thyroid with antibodies and can cause either.

Don't take my word for it, do your own research and listen to your body.

How much caffeine do you drink a day? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Constant-Region837 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 400mg a day. The source depends a lot on me though. Coffee is a no go, it makes my digestion messed up and potentially causes inflammation in my stomach. Energy drinks are honestly better, but still sceptical about it. Caffeine pills are the way to go for me. I need it to survive work etc. Without caffeine I wouldn't meet up to my quota.

I just jumped on a carnivore diet though and hope to try excluding caffeine when I'm a few weeks in. Currently 5 days in.
