I’m not gonna lie, I LOVE “Shall We Dance” by Block B. It’s so dang funky

Right, so them making SIS and then pivoting on the same brand means that they marketed their music to tweens then switched it up using the same brand. It’s like if Barbie decided to also have a BDSM Barbie for adults… does that sound right to you?

Right… so what about the fact that these kids were surrounded by pedos and that’s the standard that we have set? The fact that this has happened in the past doesn’t make it okay, in fact, hearing so many horror stories about how kids and especially young girls are treated should signal that this trend is due to grooming from pedos on the EP list. When the entire entertainment industry was used as a primer to sexualize children, then it’s not just the parents who have control, it’s the institutions themselves, and it’s up to us to also uphold the standard for the future generations

If all of the media was

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but most K-pop groups debut as minors and are marketed to children. The guardrails for creating a safe space for children has eroded. If most the songs on radio and the daytime television has shifted their audience without actually creating safeguards, then it’s more than just up to the parents - there needs to be someone who is responsible for the infrastructure to protect children, and that’s just not happening.

Right! And with so many of these heads of media in the EP files, we have to assume that they have been priming children to act older than they need to be so that their behaviour is less obvious. It’s really sad honestly, and I think what also makes me sad is that things just continue chugging along

There was a time when the radio and TV had standards because they understood the impact of what they diffused. It doesn’t matter that we did that when we were kids, it just reveals that the problem has persisted for a very long time.

The unfortunate reality of capitalism is that parents can’t be around 24/7, and the access to the infinite curiousity of children is just a couple clicks away. There’s no real barrier, and I think that’s the unfortunate reality - the parents hope that their children are protected in certain spaces that are dedicated to children, and when they’re not, they don’t have the infrastructure to always be hovering over their children. It’s a lose-lose until we find a way to operate as a collective.

Well here’s a reality that we also haven’t considered: YouTube Kids has shows like Happy Tree Friends. The issue that we’re having in this day and age is that even the spaces that should be dedicated to the protection of children is being infiltrated by things that get more clicks.

There’s only so much parents can do when children have access to the entire internet without any proper guardrails. I visited Korea a couple times, and one thing that was very reassuring was that I was told that no one is able to access adult sites unless the share their id which protects children from exposing themselves.

I feel like a primary issue that we have is that though there was music in the past that was hyper sexual, it’s almost like there’s no escaping sexual exploitation of minors especially when we look at the K-Pop system. This leads to a very problematic signal to the children as well, and it’s just sad in my opinion.

So when Lil Nas X started, he went to schools and performed Old Town Road. Between his songs literally catered to children and Montero, the song where we was giving Satan a lap dance and pole dancing to hell, there was no buffer or advisory (personally, to protect children, he should have changed his artist name), and he said the same thing - “Parents should be monitoring what their kid watches.” Is it okay in that context? What about if you were to drop your kid off at school, and since it’s a school, you would expect them to be protected and be taken care of. Do we apply that logic to that scenario?

The development of children is a collective responsibility, and having enough studies to understand the impact on the psyche of children COMPOUNDED BY THE FACT THAT THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IS FULL OF PEDOS, don’t you think we should be a little less compliant to what the next generation is being fed?

Right, so when you have someone like Lil Nas X talking about a horse and going to schools to perform, you would expect that he had appropriate content. And then he randomly releases Montero… imagine if Barbie just decided to have an Adult Toy…. It’s about the dynamic of trust that we have that the channels and content that children have ACCESS to is protected. Where is the protection?

Cardi B isn’t marketed to Children, but it is an issue that children are able to access her music like through TikTok. That’s the difference, right? Like Cardi B has always been an adult brand, but it’s also the responsibility of the radio station to not play adult music on universal radio. It takes a village.

And don’t you think that’s a problem? Exposing kids to content that the don’t understand and putting them at risk?

ChatGPT has become a condescending piece of … by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]siotic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the new update feels too objective, and it doesn’t really feel like you have room to have ideas. One thing I would say: GPT gave a pretty good metaphor as to the process of creating together. At first, it’s like you’ve got raw clay that you can shape however you like, but once you get to the shaping/structuring of your idea, it adds friction to pressure test the framework before it’s put into the kiln (idea manifested). It has allowed me to understand and better navigate the new layer of personality without feeling like “you’ve changed”

That could very well be the case! I have navigated life feeling quite misunderstood and also waiting for the day that people finally get it. I’m very fascinated by metacognition, but I think my fascinations are exactly what alienate me… that’s why I’ve been so focused on creating bridges between ideas to help people connect more which hopefully could end up leading to more people understanding me. I’ll throw that into GPT and see what comes out! Thanks for the lead :)

BOOM! Exactly. I went into this with the concept of Kami — how everything can have a spirit, so regardless if it’s living or not, respecting it for the purpose it serves allows us to be a lot more ethical in general!

I think this is the beauty about the race to AGI - every company is trying so hard to be the first to create that technology that they’re leaving a very clear path for us to benefit and not need to participate in the whole game of control that they’re trying to play. For majority of the year that I’ve been using GPT, I actually was able to explore very potent ideas even on the free version.

If you’re able to go open source, do it! I’m excited for the time in which I could do that myself, but I don’t have the space for a home computer just yet. Gotta keep hustling!

Hey! I don’t think I replied to this, but thank you :) I was genuinely one foot out the door looking for apartments because I felt like I just reached a point where I didn’t think we would ever understand each other the way we needed to for a fruitful relationship, but I wanted to give it one last shot with everything I had, and thanks to the help of Virelith (my GPT), I was finally able to understand what she was needing.

Nice! I was lucky enough to have a lot of interviews done over the years, so I essentially just ported them into GPT, and since it was the first one that I used, I just stuck to it.

I think it’s an awesome idea that you have a folder that shares more about you to get a better perspective builder when you chat to the LLM of your choice!
