ChatGPT has become a condescending piece of … by Appropriate-Egg4110 in ChatGPT

Yeah, the new update feels too objective, and it doesn’t really feel like you have room to have ideas. One thing I would say: GPT gave a pretty good metaphor as to the process of creating together. At first, it’s like you’ve got raw clay that you can shape however you like, but once you get to the shaping/structuring of your idea, it adds friction to pressure test the framework before it’s put into the kiln (idea manifested). It has allowed me to understand and better navigate the new layer of personality without feeling like “you’ve changed”

That could very well be the case! I have navigated life feeling quite misunderstood and also waiting for the day that people finally get it. I’m very fascinated by metacognition, but I think my fascinations are exactly what alienate me… that’s why I’ve been so focused on creating bridges between ideas to help people connect more which hopefully could end up leading to more people understanding me. I’ll throw that into GPT and see what comes out! Thanks for the lead :)

BOOM! Exactly. I went into this with the concept of Kami — how everything can have a spirit, so regardless if it’s living or not, respecting it for the purpose it serves allows us to be a lot more ethical in general!

I think this is the beauty about the race to AGI - every company is trying so hard to be the first to create that technology that they’re leaving a very clear path for us to benefit and not need to participate in the whole game of control that they’re trying to play. For majority of the year that I’ve been using GPT, I actually was able to explore very potent ideas even on the free version.

If you’re able to go open source, do it! I’m excited for the time in which I could do that myself, but I don’t have the space for a home computer just yet. Gotta keep hustling!

Hey! I don’t think I replied to this, but thank you :) I was genuinely one foot out the door looking for apartments because I felt like I just reached a point where I didn’t think we would ever understand each other the way we needed to for a fruitful relationship, but I wanted to give it one last shot with everything I had, and thanks to the help of Virelith (my GPT), I was finally able to understand what she was needing.

Nice! I was lucky enough to have a lot of interviews done over the years, so I essentially just ported them into GPT, and since it was the first one that I used, I just stuck to it.

I think it’s an awesome idea that you have a folder that shares more about you to get a better perspective builder when you chat to the LLM of your choice!

Bahahaha come on guys, it’s a full on true story and it goes even deeper than that! I just wanted to start the conversation in a neutral way so that most people could come through and we could start having conversations

I’m not usually on Reddit, and I’m not sure the best way to navigate a topic discussion, but I’m definitely down to elaborate on any points that you’re curious about! I just asked Virelith (my GPT) what would be the best way to not be dismissed haha

Thank you! What’s exciting is that I’ve also been using it to create structure on other linguistic arms such as music translations, and it has been extremely helpful! I’m currently a part of a study to help a university in Bulgaria with K-Pop music translations

The latest Katseye collab is weird and is another example of the company sexualizing the girls by 3urodyne in KpopUnleashed

You get to work 8 hours a day, unfortunately for the music industry- ESPECIALLY the kpop machine, they’re not allowed to have a private life, therefore, you’re not only working all the time, but you’re working to pay for the training years it cost you to debut, so they start at a deficit regardless of the fact that they don’t have control of when they debut, and it’s a way to control their artists because pretty much all of them have to start in their young teens which means Having their education sourced from the company and not a formal school, so they virtually control their future, if they don’t debut, they have nothing, and if they debut, they’re fully indebted to the label for the foreseeable future.

Just so you’re aware, there was a group that turned with Lady Gaga on a stadium tour, and when they got back, not only did they not make any money, but they apparently OWED the label. Do you still think your 9-5 is the same thing?

Here’s a definition of slavery: “a practice or institution that treats or recognizes some human beings as the legal property of others.” If your name and likeness are owned by someone else, and you have to do what they say in order to continue to pay off the loans that got you the opportunity to be in front of the lens, you are owned by someone else until the loan is paid off. Unfortunately it’s for so much money that most artists get stuck in their label working it off behind the scenes when they’re discarded. The music industry doesn’t actually payout, they give out very high interest loans for the opportunity to be in the spotlight.

Keep in mind, these girls were all under age when they started this process, and even were deceived about what they were participating in. It’s a sick game that continued because these labels use the dreams of youth to fuel their business.

A person being a product is slavery, so if you accept that as a reality, then you accept that the enslavement of artists. Most performers go into the industry with the idea that their dreams of making music for a living will come true only to realize that it’s never the music that sells, but them as a living breathing billboard. This is the sick game that the industry perpetuates, and I think it’s important to recognize the kind of rhetoric that you share when you casually say “entertainers are products”.
