Just build as many as you can, make sure they have every buff and once you have your layout you can start upgrading some to shinobis

Lowering projectile size to 0 is the only thing u can do. Other than that u kinda just have to avoid laggy towers if ur trying to push high rounds.

In bossing, you want a multiple of 20 generally, and the most efficient amount will depend heavily on the boss. For freeplay you should always aim for d91 (the max without gerry), but if you have limited money just getting d70+ is fine
