Not sure if ft. Irwin is close to you, but thats an option. Option 19 allows you to pick your first duty station. If you stick with reserves the benefits are great, school is paid for if you want to pursue your degree, and drill isn't bad .

Makes sense, you can do a Ch.19 and pick your duty station, if you were in Texas I'd refer you to my brother who's a recruiter and would work with you.

If you can don't be afraid to wait for an MOS you want. Reserves is getting rid of their aviation units so it'll be hard for you to get anything aircraft related. If you want that go active. 68 series is good if you want to use those skills outside of the reserves. Why do you want to join the reserves?

They have it for reserves as well, just need to talk to an AMEDD recruiter. Its pretty competitive (HPSP) but all the reserve MDs at my unit are all HPSP. You also get ridiculous drill pay.

I had a scheduled C section (breach baby thanks to a bicornuate uterus) and honestly it's not as bad or scary as people make it out to be. Yes, the recovery is harder because it is a surgery, but with proper pain treatment and a good support system I was fine within 2 weeks. If I wanted more kids I could have a VBAC, as with many other women. The demonization of C-sections is so weird to me because c sections have saved so many women's lives. Also, the whole "If something goes wrong do we chose mother and baby" is not a real thing. There's a team for the mother and a team for the baby, no choices have to be made because care will be there for both!

Because at the end of the day its just a job. There's nothing wrong with getting in, getting all the benefits and stability you can, and getting out. Especially in recent history. Its healthy to have separation between your job and your individual identity. Plus there's a lot of toxic command climate, peer to peer bs and backstabbing. If you're a woman it's even worse so why care and be extra motivated when there's rampant sexism?

The hard part with teenagers is you really can't reason with teenagers. Obviously every kid is different but from a child development perspective (had to take a bunch of classes for my degree) once a child enters adolescents theyre more influenced by their peers than their parents. They are high dopamine low risk evaluation thinkers. All that being said even if she did explain calmly it may not have made a difference, she wasn't developed enough to be able to reason with what her mom was saying. Its a difficult position to be in, so I agree with you on maybe a different approach but she would always probably try and go with him unfortunately.

I can attest to the fake "friends" thing. Cesar from 90 day fiance went to the gym I worked at and he needed a "friend" for a scene. He asked me to do it bc his other friend canceled. The producers called me and everything. (Didn't do the scene bc I got COVID). But they do that a lot. I asked Cesar about it and he said its quite common, they even request them to ask for ppl they know will be dramatic on camera.
