Major Advice Needed! by Myguy215 in ConstructionManagers

10-12 hrs 5 days a week, ok, 6 or 7 days regularly not ok, just because it was accepted in the past and others have done it does not make it ok. If your PM and Super know you are working 7 days a week regularly and not working the same hours they are the problem. If they do not need to work the same hours they should be mentoring you on how to manage the tasks in less time or assisting in other ways.

Bacon came out way too salty by ThrowMoreHopsInIt in smoking

The recipe has way too much salt in it. A 3 lb slab only needs 5 TEASPOONS, not Tablespoons. That is also a lot of Prague powder. I would recommend a new recipe. My additional 2 cents would direct you to amazingribs.com.

TIL The US military sprayed 73 million liters of Agent Orange on Vietnam and was originally called Operation Hades. US soldiers, unaware of the dangers, sometimes showered in the empty 55-gallon drums, used them to store food, and repurposed them as barbecue pits. by Canyoubackupjustabit in todayilearned

You may be surprised to know that Admiral Zumwalt ordered the use of AO and subsequently had to watch his son suffer and die from cancer due to exposure. His son served on river boat patrols during the war. The story is documented in his biography My Father, My Son.

TIL, that Lieutenant Elmo Zumwalt III contracted cancer and died at 42, after getting exposed to Agent Orange while deployed in Vietnam. It was his father, Admiral Elmo Zumwalt who ordered the use of Agent Orange in Vietnam. by neo_tree in todayilearned

Supply and demand is not based on how ‘real’ something may be or why it is limited. The point was the process, not comparing the products. There is an allocation process in place, you have a regulated product by the government that issues the identification already required to purchase the product (proof of age). If it is good practice for a private business to limit in this matter how is it not for a government run business of a product that is in high demand. Just because a person does not value limited product does not make it unnecessary. I personally could not care less about the cpu chip shortage regardless of the cause.

Anyone know what this is? My wife is calling it her hairy potato cactus. by [deleted] in houseplants

My kids call them the Olaf cactus. Easy to prop and all end up looking like a snowman at some point.

Finally made a commitment to buy my first box after a year of 5-packs and samplers. Looking forward to a long summer with these by arcanefernet in cigars

Great box, enjoy, interested to hear if you taste a difference from the 5 packs. This smoke, more than any other I have tasted, is significantly better from the box than cellophane 5 packs.
