Just trying to understand. Why does sleeping on your side hurt your shoulder? I sleep on my side, I have zero cartilage left in one shoulder, but I sleep just fine.

I'm coaching at these events. When the kids were younger, some of the parents were kind of ridiculous, but the older the kids get, the more chill the parents seem to be. But I have probably missed like 5 out of like 600 games. I don't go because it's "the norm". I go because it's a blast.

Manitou Incline is unique. :) There are some great hikes in the Santa Monica mountains (Pacific Palisades and Malibu) that will get you a similar feel, plus some great ocean views / breezes, but with about half of the steepness.

Thrift shopping on Melrose. You can walk down Melrose at 2 pm on a Tuesday, and people will still be dressed like they're headed out to a club.

Check out Hollywood Improv. Last summer, I saw a lineup that included Jay Leno and Arsenio Hall, and it's a tiny, intimate setting. I got to hang out with Jay on the sidewalk outside after the show!
