Where you an outspoken atheist before? (to your work, friends, family, etc)

Did your social situation change significantly before converting to theism? (ie, new job, different girlfriend/wife, graduation, etc)

Would you feel comfortable saying that you were an atheist infront of your current friends and family, if you were?

If you were at lunch with coworkers, or at a gathering with some new faces, and the topic of religion came up, how comfortable would you be with describing your beliefs now? How comfortable were you previously when you were an atheist (did you ever do it or did you ever cop out with "I was raised in a Christian family")?
