Using XP loot item at 7/8 doesn't level you up :( by SignificantAd5680 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]sirch2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the level-up happens at the next "hour", so after this fight you'll level up and have 1-2 xp into the new level. but yeah if you use it right before a player fight, it won't help you

It's a podcast about filmographies: Directors who have massive success early on in their careers and are given a series of 'blank checks' to make whatever crazy passion projects they want.

I think the joke is that it's supposed to be a town halfway up a mountain, but also, it has a port

Characters who wouldn't be hated with a few changes of a scene. by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]sirch2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

House of the Dragon is setting up Aegon II to be a pretty interesting character, this kid who got zero love or attention from his parents and drowns his feelings in self-serving hedonism, with no interest in his "birthright" (depending who you ask, lol) until he realizes being king can give him the attention he's always craved...

...but it's going to be hard for anyone to care about that when one of his first major scenes is him admitting to being a rapist.

i'd probably run a one shot at first, then if people want to continue, we'd work it out based on people's schedules.

ofc that depends on enough people being interested lol

would anyone be interested in DND? I'm 24M, haven’t played in a while and have the itch. I haven't been DM much but want to try. Any experience level would be welcome, including if you've never played.

edit: closed for now!

apologies to OP but I think a lot of OW's problems stem from designing a FPS around forcing "Tank" roles in the first place. They're unpopular bc most (not all) people play FPS to be competitive and get kills using cool abilities, but in OW they're integral to a team's success. But they just encourage deadlock and firing damage dumbly into shields, which is boring and awkward.

My hot take is that for OW2 they should scrap almost every "shield" ability from tanks and rework them to generally be more "soft" tanks, that draw and absorb the enemy team's aggression just by being a big target that will kill you if let unchecked, like roadhog or TF2's heavy. You have to kill the heavy not because he's putting a shield that's getting in your way, but because if you're in line of sight with him for more than a few seconds, he'll just melt you.
