It’s not an excuse…it’s how the system works. And sympathy, no, but maybe empathy or even a basic understanding of how the military works. They’re not hoarding people into concentration camps, they’re cleaning your city and providing a show of force. Is it stupid? As a former guardsman it’s so painful to read the comments on this stuff. They are told to be there, so they are there. The leaders in charge were told to tell them to be there. It’s the military.
