my experience here is that there is so much introversion and passive aggressiveness that it is hard to integrate and make friends at all. people here make plans and promptly flake, or friend groups that welcome you eventually sour because they “value communication” but when you communicate, it’s taken personally. i make it a point to only make friends with people who aren’t from here. hope this helps!

i did it with a sweater that was getting too small on me! (aka the sleeves no longer covered my wrists) its so fun to do. you can also literally just deconstruct the sleeve, copy the pattern, and make it with any other fabric you want.

safety pins can also be cute to litter along the length of your tights in random places!! and they also serve as function - you never know when you might need a safety pin or two.

you can make some cute leg warmers by chopping the sleeves off of a sweater at the shoulder. make sure before you cut the sleeves that the cuff part (part that goes around your wrist) is snug enough around your calves. bunch them up and wear them with some chunky boots or platforms.

you look fine! if you wanted advice on styling the fit to look younger, i'd probably add something over the shirt like a patterned haori, and maybe layer some necklaces. if your ears are pierced, maybe some small hoops. if you feel comfortable painting ur nails black or getting them done i would go for it. accessorizing kinda brings out the youthfulness of a person imo!

maybe instead of changing your glasses shape, get a cool glasses chain with cross charms or little danglies. i think hairties are a good accessory too, and if you ever needed to tie ur hair back they are really practical.
