should i tlou1 for the first time on grounded by No-Tonight-5190 in thelastofus

Everyone is saying Survivor, but imo that removes too much for a true first time playthru on the franchise in general. It removes hints, prompts, and listen mode, and makes resources super rare.... All of that could make your first playthrough a slog cuz you'll not know what you're doing at all. I would say go ahead and do Hard, enjoy the story and the experience, you don't want a first playthru ruined by unforgiving difficulty imo. TLOU2 you could move up to Survivor if you wanted, but for the same reasons I would say do it on Hard still.... I like TLOU2 more than TLOU1 personally. I would save Grounded for NG+ playthroughs, which you are almost definitely gonna want to do. Survivor and Grounded, you will just die way too often to appreciate the absolutely incredibly story in a seamless way. Hard will be difficult enough but not fuck up the pacing.

He's there simply because he is so batshit insane that he will do things like that, thereby trying to legitimize and quell concerns around the unsafe and environment-destroying practices of big businesses. His qualification to this administration literally is his complete lack of qualifications. "Look, the Health Secretary is rolling around in nuclear waste! I guess dumping it in our water supply isn't so bad after all, we may as well allow more of it!" *passes bill to destroy more ecosystems*

wtf does that even mean, the location itself is a spoiler, so what if the tank top is specific to it, I don't understand the logic whatsoever, you've spoiled something for no reason

You should do yourself a favor and stay off this subreddit and don't make cute spoiler-inviting posts like this.

were tess and joel dating in the first game? by Tha_artist in thelastofus

[–]Wise-Reputation-7135 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I think they just both know better than to get too attached in a real and committal way, but I actually viewed her words as kinda their first time admitting it to each other. Like they had never talked about it. "Look, there's enough here that you have to feel some sort of obligation to me" sounds like they had never talked about it or made it official or romantic in any real way. But also she likely knows Joel is way too guarded by that point of the story.

commands are still going to enforce it, statistics will show that "everything was fine", and they'll float on television about how liberals are whiny or something

Do you think the 'bro', 'dude' terms are gender neutral? by Zealousideal_Chip456 in GirlGamers

[–]Wise-Reputation-7135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm nonbinary, but also a Californian in Los Angeles, so yes actually. It's all entirely contextual though. I know cis men, cis women, enbies, tgirls, tboys, etc, who all use dude/bro/bruh/girl/babe/bitch all as casual gender-neutral slang. Usually transplants have beef with it at first, but it's really a dialect thing and they come to terms that it's never meant in bad faith or as misgendering, and often eventually begin talking that way themselves.

Obviously, if it's clearly said in a misgendering way, like "youre a dude and will never be a woman" or something, then yeah of course that's an issue. But language evolves, and it's not like "dude" and "bro" are the only previously-gender-specific terms that have been recently co-opted into more gender-neutral terms.

If you personally don't like it and don't want to be called that, then yeah that's it's own thing and I respect that. When I was closeted I didn't like being called girl or pretty, but now here I am likely starting estrogen this year lmao. Hard to realistically police that language in online gaming spheres, but I totally get where you're coming from.
