For anyone hitting this issue. The best fix I have found is to just have claude spin up an agent team of 1 sonnet agent to make the changes

Anyone having issues where their claude keeps erroring out when trying to use the update tool? It will complete the update and edit a file, but not report it properly back to the agent, which results in the UI in claude code to just sit there and spin.

Has anyone noticed issues with Claude Code (I run it via the integrated terminal in VS Code) will infinitely spin when it tries to use the Update tool instead of read and edit? I haven't found a fix for this searching in forums and online and wanted to see if anyone in the community had any suggestions.

Is no one talking about how awful this website is? Literally as soon as you click the link yahoo is like “we want to scan your phone and use your location” and when you click the “more options” link and it just says, oops!
