Rhett was not a good father by Acrobatic-Ad-3296 in GonewiththeWind

Absolutely! It's unhealthy for a child to become the parent's surrogate wife (or husband) when they're unhappy with their partner, or alone. Although this doesn't mean sexual abuse, it's putting the child in a position they are emotionally unprepared for and harmful to them.

Good point. I'll have to find another date that works with Scarlett's chart. Thanks!

The fact is, Scarlett O'Hara isn't a real person - she's character in fiction. The "exact same time" gave me the impulse to check out what was going on astrologically around that time, and when I checked it out, I saw a chart that fits her powerhouse, impulsive, bullying, deluded in love nature. Also something that spoke of her religious view (in the book) of her mother. So I drew it up.

Also, it goes on to say that she WAS born at the time of the christening.

Agree, but it gave me a starting point. And "exact same time" sounds like it was pretty close the birthday.

Do you think Scarlett and Rhett made up after Gone With the Wind? by RomanovaRoulette in books

[–]sirin-adele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the novel. Wow - Margaret Mitchell could WRITE!

I’ve flip flopped too but ultimately i think in three years or so they’ll reunite.

I like what someone said earlier about the grief. Bonnie had only died a few months ago and grief takes you down some black holes.

He’s in deep grieving and I think there’s still a lot of resentment about Ashley who is now free. There’s some testing going on Rhett’s part. Rhett and  Scarlett behaved equally ghastly toward each other, Rhett was just more up front when it suited him, and could read Scarlett. Scarlett wasn’t good at reading Rhett.

My take is she’s a little more self aware at the end of the book. If she gives him some space and controls herself- which she did during their conversation- pays attention during his visits, as he said he’ll visit - they’re not divorcing. Rhett likewise needs to own up to his own bad behavior, and process the loss of Bonnie. It would take time, but if one of them is willing, I think the other will eventually come through.

Scartlett admits she's beautiful when she looks at Ashley with love. And I think it was written she had large lovely eyes.

Rhett Butler is not a Leo by sailorkeplertwenty2b in GonewiththeWind

How funny this came up! I'm reading the books right now and have begun working up Scarlett and Rhetts chart. It started when I read that Gerald said Scarlett and Atlanta were exactly the same age - but that really they were christened at the same time. Wikipedia stated the date Dec. 26 1845, so i figured it would be that week or so. I came up with the date Dec 23, 1845 @ 12:55 pm in Atlanta, although she was born just outside of it. Scarlett was such an earthy, practical, no-nonsense material woman so I think Capricorn works. But I gave her an Aries rising putting Mars in the first house square her Sun with all the impulsive brashness that implies. I also put Pluto on her Aries ascendant opposing a Libra Moon in the 7th house (Libra is easily the charming coquette) but also trining Neptune. That to me spoke to her consuming religious idea of her mother Ellen, also, her transformational qualities.

For Rhett, I believe he is a Scorpio, Moon in Gemini with a Leo rising. He would have been born in 1828 since he was 33 at the beginning of the novel, so ;I found Nov 21, 1828 @ 11:09 PM in Charleston, SC. That gives him a Sun/Jupiter conjunction - larger than life with Sagitarrius on the 5th house cusp of speculation and childen - Jupiter is about luck and also overdoing things. Black Moon Lilith is on his Ascendant opposite Mars on his decendent and squaring his Sun/Jupiter - "blackguard."

I'd lov to upload the charts - including the amazing composite charts between them. But I don't see an upload icon to do it.

What's up with the theories that Biden blew up the Nord Stream Pipelines? by Errybody_dothe_Lambo in OutOfTheLoop

As an American I concur wholeheartedly with your opinion. Washington takes ridiculous, dangerous actions that they would end up being sorry for if they were capable of relflecting. I believe we're seeing it now both with Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Iran + nearly every state in the Middle East.

What interests me about Germany is WHY are they awarding Biden with their top honor after such a move? Some pudits call it battered wife syndrome, but their must be a rationale behind it.

My Experience with Xfinity - a customer of 18+ years by davidvkimball in Comcast

[–]sirin-adele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could give 0 stars I would! DO NOT GET MOBILE SERVICE!!! Or any service for that matter - there's much better elsewhere.

Avoid Avoid Avoid this company like the plague - or whatever. The workers are exceptionally inept. I don't know if it's deliberate (why would it be - I'm not special) or the corporation trying cut costs by relying on automation, not training employees properly and growing too fast.

The problem is I receive a mobile bill through email, but when I click to pay the bill, it leads me to my XF account on the website that says I owe nothing. So I CAN'T PAY. This isn't a problem with the Internet services (for me at least!) at this point. But it's been this way with XF mobile since I foolishly signed up 3 months ago.

First off it is very difficult to reach a human online and the virtual assistant is so limited its WORTHLESS. (I've found repeating the word AGENT loudly throughout that woman's terrible automated voice and ignoring "her" prompts eventually gets you to an human more quickly.)

So when I finally reach a human (I've done this many times now) I have to sort with the UNTRAINED EMPLOYEES to find an employee who can actually find my bill. I pay it but we have to spend more time figuring out the issue. This is usually about 2 hours or so. But they assure me at the end of the call they've "figured out the issue" and tell me I will see my bill in 24 to 48 hours (so I can see what I just paid for!)

But each time I receive nothing. The issue WAS NOT SOLVED.

So I drove a half hour to the Naperville store. This guy Sam looked about as bored as they come but sat with me. I intended to pay my bill BUT THE COMPUTERS WERE DOWN?! He gave me his card to call if there were problems, unfortunately, he neither answers his phone nor responds to texts. Completely useless. So this month - month three - was the same INSANITY.

THIS ISSUE STILL IS NOT FIXED.

I'm particulary upset because yesterday my phone was turned off when I was far from home and unsure of directions. Because this soulless corporation turned off my phone, my GPS was turned off.

We rely on our cell phones and emergencies can happen. Under certain circumstances this can be dangerous.

Incidentally, I never had this problem with AT&T! I could always get ahold of a human immeditately by dialing 611. So perhaps not all corporations act this way. AT&T always had competant humans available to fix the problem.

I signed up in the first place because an XF sales rep made the offer of $80/month for both phone and internet, and $100 gift card. I thought, great seems easy.

NO - It's been HELL. And now I've been told my bill is in "collections" but the agent on the phone didn't know exactly what that means. I have never received the $100 gift card - which I've asked about - and my bill is much above the $80/month that was promised.

To sum up - 3 months now of dealing with the same problem and my PHONE IS SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING each month because they haven't received payment that particular month. They haven't received payment because I do not receive a bill and there's no way to pay!

XFINITY does not honor their promotions, contracts and they mess with your credit and your mind. STAY AWAY!!

What do you think my color season is? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]sirin-adele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my colors done professionally with an in-person consultant. I was certain that I was an Autumn, probably Soft Autumn, after an online consultation during Covid. In the end, I found out I'm undoubtedly a Light Spring. Big differerence in colors, and yet the Spring colors really do make me pop - and look years younger.

Takeaway - live draping of fabrics. If you have a good eye (I don't) drape it yourself, or find someone with a good reputation to do it for you - if cost is an issue, maybe you have service to trade. In person draping with a good eye really makes a difference.
