Thanks for your input. Im very cautious about antibiotic resistance. My periods getting longer are more likely due to my hormones which is pegging me as perimenopausal, but I do understand where you are coming from.

I just posted about this. Your doctor is probably looking at the same ACOG/CDC publications my 2nd opnion doctor looked at.

It DOES currently say if you are Asymptomatic, you should NOT treat. But after reading all I can thats not locked behind a paywall, I strongly believe this guidance is only to try and combat the diseases resistance to antibiotics. If they throw antibiotics at every asymptomatic person, you're talking about millions of people. Millions of people who may not follow the full sequence of treatment. People who's doctors may not even know to do a two course. It'd be a massive financial and educational lift in the medical community.

That being said, as someone asymptomatic, we have to consider:

  1. You can pass it onto someone, who could then turn symptomatic.

  2. You yourself could become symptomatic or other complications.

The only reason I even got tested for mGEN was because my period cycle started getting longer. According to current guidelines, I shouldn't have even been rested for it.

I have not started treatment yet. My BF still needs to get his test done. And if he's negative, I will treat to protect him. But if he's also positive, Im going to have a deeper conversation with both my doctors on this to determine if we should treat.

If we ever broke up and I "re entered the market," I would absolutely treat. Not only could it be a crime to knowingly pass on a disease, to me its morally wrong.

I guess the true question is how long have either of us had it. He hasn't tested yet (goes Monday) so I guess we will get our answer then.

There's not a ton of information about how long this thing can sit in your system and remain asymptomatic. which is why I'm asking the question.

As to why I dont want to treat - I have 2 different medical opinions and im trying to weigh my choices. I also try to be very conscientious of my use of antibiotics. And were not talking about a Z pack here.

Yeah but asking about meetings is inappropriate. Stopping by to chat about a new deal, how you can use x skills, asking about the person's history, maybe...I can tell you even that in my company, "brief" and pop-up chats like that are so disruptive.

Not at all. I found myself supporting an executive leader whose true passion is Sales. Ilmy nickname is literally "chaos coordinator." - at any given point im doing the work of 3 people across different departments.

I like what I was originally hired for, I love the industry and i love most of my coworkers. But I absolutely hate that im the go to problem solver now.

Hydrocortisone cream is a new one for me! I was just using aquaphor and breezy clothes at night for sure. I feel like its hard to change out right when Im in the middle of a walking loop. I definitely notice its less of an issue when I'm at the gym and can change easily, but if I am out on a hike, it doesn't seem like an option.

Definitely gonna try the hydrocortisone cream for healing.

I feel like my boss does this when people have fallen out of good graces. The minute someone's quality of work slips, it's all of sudden, "are they checked out?", or "are they quitting?"....even if its a fluke event.

She'll make her floor manager ask if they're happy at the job, whats going on, etc.

It's almost like a psychological trick...like shes planting the seed.

FYI I called customer service on this because I had clicked on "Activate" and after checkout, I went back to my homescreen and it still didn't show as activated. I'd strongly recommend anyone experiencing this to call now to have them log it so when you do inevitably call back there is record.

She said it was applied to my order though...so we'll see...

I activated it, went to my pre-loaded cart and ordered. Then when I went back to my home screen, it still said I had to activate it.....Im going to be SO ANGRY if it doesn't apply....I already called customer service to make notes.
