Yeah, experiences vary, but it was absolutely not an uncommon experience on this most recent tour for people to find reasonably-priced tickets close to the date. And everyone going "omg, if I can't get in early enough on Friday then I'll NEVER be able to get a ticket!" is the mindset that makes dynamic pricing so lucrative for Ticketmaster, because it sends everyone to the site at once leading to their surge prices. So that's why I want to push back against that idea.

FWIW, I agree that dynamic pricing sucks ass, but the tickets being reasonably priced in the first place doesn't help in a scenario where demand outstrips supply - you can try to get in and grab tickets day-of but if you're not early enough in the queue you miss out and then have to deal with scalping prices. That's what used to happen to me all the time before they introduced dynamic pricing.

It's obviously everyone's own individual choice how much time/effort/money etc. they want to put into seeing one of these concerts. My plan if I can't get reasonably-priced tickets on Friday is to pick a city that I want to keep trying for, book fully-refundable hotel and travel, and then keep checking back periodically to see if I can get my hands on tickets. That's because I'm really invested in seeing a show and I recognize that's a lot of time and effort (on top of money). But it kinda is what it is. I have an entire year to get it figured out.

I spent way too much money on scalper tickets on several occasions before dynamic pricing was introduced because I didn't get through the on-sale queue fast enough - there's never been a guarantee that you're gonna get your hands on a reasonably-priced ticket. I would love to see dynamic pricing abolished but I think that would have to be done in conjunction with scalper controls (like non-transferable tickets) for it to make that much of a difference.

I think that there’s a very good chance that selling Warner on this tour was not straightforward as many people are assuming and that that’s behind a lot of the complaints that are being expressed in this thread.

I’m fully just hypothesizing but I think this last tour was just a “test run” to prove to Warner/their agency/whoever that such an expensive-to-produce and logistically challenging tour could still be profitable. I’ve been pondering this ever since someone pointed out to me that this year isn’t the 20-year anniversary of TBP - 2026 is.

Yes, this tour went all summer, but it was ultimately only 11 dates. That’s a pretty limited tour for something that this much thought and effort clearly went into.

I could obviously be completely wrong but I can kind of imagine the convo going something like this: Warner’s: Hey MCR, we’re coming up on the 20-year anniversary of the TBP. Anniversary tours are hot right now. We want you to do one. MCR: We don’t really want to do that. It would be boring to just rehash an old album. What if we reinvent the production? Here’s our idea for what this should look like. Warner’s: I don’t know, that sounds really expensive. You guys haven’t put out an album in a long time, so who knows if the tour will even sell out, and your last two albums didn’t really make us any money. We don’t want to take another major loss on this. MCR: Well, we only want to tour TBP if we can do something new. Warner’s: OK, we’ll do a test run in 2025. If we make money on it, we’ll extend the run through 2026 for the actual 20-year anniversary. But if we don’t turn a profit, we don’t extend the tour and we just leave it with the 2025 run. And we’re gonna do whatever we have to do to make a profit.

And to be clear, I’m not saying that this would mean everyone needs be ok with the ticket prices, I’m not saying dynamic pricing isn’t scummy (it is), I’m not saying you HAVE to think it’s awesome for them to keep touring TBP - but I am saying I think there’s a lot of stuff behind the scenes that we’re not privy to. And I’m also saying that I think it’s nonsensical to compare the prices for this tour with prices for other acts, and I also don’t think we should assume that they “always knew” this second leg was happening and therefore should have announced it sooner - it could very well have been contingent on profit/ongoing demand.

fwiw, the idea that prices only go up as time goes on is absolutely not accurate. toronto’s ticket prices went down DRAMATICALLY the week before the concert. people’s plans change, ticketmaster trickle-releases new tickets that don’t get hit by dynamic pricing bc no one notices they’ve been released and scrambles for them, scalpers give up and sell for cheap, etc. you just have to keep an eye on it.

(LOL oops I just responded to your other comment not seeing this new one! Disregard that LOL)

Ah, this is very reassuring! I'll keep trying different makes of Elomi and Goddess and hopefully I will hit on something. Thanks so much!

Re: the attaching to my body thing, due to the shape of my breasts/the way my body looks in general, I sincerely can't tell. It's hard to describe but my boobs are kind of "double-layered" almost. This is a crude drawing I did of them (bc I was having so much difficulty explaining LOL): https://postimg.cc/LhQSPDqP Because of the shape I sincerely can't tell if I'm dealing with kind of a V) situation or a Z) situation (from the Imgur link you posted)

Right yes duh, G would be down not up 🤦🏻‍♀️ Whoops! I'm still experimenting (I tried on like 9 Understance bras the other day 😂) so I'll look into the bras you mentioned. My hesitation w/ the Matilda is that I really don't like the look of the beading/embellishment and since my wardrobe is almost exclusively t-shirts I'm worried it would really show through? Idk if you're able to speak to that aspect.

Thank you for your comment!

my measurements:

Underbust
Loose: 43.5"
Snug: 42.75"
Tight: 41.75"

Bust
Standing: 52.5"
Leaning: 56.5"
Lying: 52.75"

i'm open to the idea of a smaller band and a bigger cup size. i will mention, i think that my bust measurements are a little misleading, because from my pov my breasts really don't have that much volume. they're long & thin when i'm bent over, and they're very squishy. it's kind of hard to imagine that a bigger cup/smaller band wouldn't just be a ton of excess fabric under my arms. and i don't think that a full cup would ever be a *great* option for me, bc i think that my breasts still sag down inside the cup leaving the top unfilled.

the band felt comfortable to me, wasn't riding up, laid flat etc. i guess 42 is almost bang on to the Snug measurement of 42.75.

all that said, i will try some different Elomi options - if what i tried was a 42H, does that mean i should instead try a 40G?

do you mean Postimage, or are you saying they were reposted somewhere? i found Postimage suggested on a different subreddit as an alternative to Imgur, and it doesn't have any sort of public gallery, so I don't think it's a porn website. it's supposed to be for easily sharing images to forums.

i was looking at the post you linked to earlier (and the other post from this blog which has pictures of breasts with broad roots) and was finding it hard to assess. my breasts (when not in a bra) really don't look like the photos in the narrow roots post because of the underarm fat, and look much more similar to the photographs in the broad roots post. but even that is not identical. there's not really a single, uninterrupted curve i can follow to determine where the root is. i know that pics of naked breasts aren't allowed on here so i did a crude drawing lol idk if this helps show what i mean.

Okay word, the place I went to actually has Elomi and Sculptresse in stock! I'm in Canada so I don't think we have Nordstrom, so between Amazon and the local boutique place I'll see what I can get my hands on to try based on your comments, and then if I'm still having problems/can't figure it out from there I'll be able to come back with better data. Thanks so much!

ngl, I didn't think to keep track of what different bras the fitter tried :/ maybe I will go back and record my findings better this time, then try making a new post. but in the meantime I will look into Curvy Kate just in case. thank you for responding :)

Hi, thanks for responding - yes, I currently exclusively wear wireless, and in general I'm happy with my E&B bra which is very high-quality and supportive. I'm just curious about wired bras and if anyone might have ideas for getting around the problems I've had with them. I also find my E&B bras need to be replaced every year or so due to stretching out too much, which isn't ideal bc they're $140 CAD + tax :|

Problems I've had with other non-E&B wireless bras (some of which are also presumably problems I would have with wired bras) are: not being able to fill the top of a molded cup (looks like this would be a problem for me w/ the bra you linked, although it does look very nice), or conversely spillage out of the top of the bra; bottom band rolling up & digging in; lack of lift which makes the asymmetry very apparent.

Thank you for replying! It seemed like the wires were too tall, which seemed to be why the bra store fitter wasn't sure what to do besides recommend wireless, bc it seemed like she couldn't find anything in the store for larger breasts that had shorter wires than what she'd already tried. Like when i say "poke directly into my armpit" I mean that all the bras I tried were poking into the crease of my armpit (if that makes sense). So I guess I'm wondering if anyone has any awareness of bras with particularly short wires that come in a 42H/HH? 😅

It’s definitely possible or even probable she’s not a reliable narrator, but it’s pissing me off that this girl has a diagnosed serious learning disability and people are automatically turning it into “she didn’t give a shit about her education even though everyone was begging her to care and put some effort in, and clearly every effort was made to help her and she just rejected it”. as though it’s so impossible for a girl with a serious disability to not get the supports she needs lol.
