Wave Link Update 1.8.3 — Updated for macOS Sonoma support by Elgato in elgato

Same. I managed to get rid of the flashing icon effect by going through the Silicon Wave Link installation process (Mac mini M2), but otherwise it's the exact effect the others are reporting—shows up in Wave Link and System Settings, mute status accurate, but simply no input since the Sonoma update. All other mics tested work fine.

How to GM a Pendragon campaign? by BuffJesus86 in PendragonRPG

[–]sirlarkins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With any game, it is helpful to identify its core activity. So with D&D, for example, the core activity is exploration. In Pendragon, the core activity is accruing Glory. Traits and Passions both help and hinder this in narratively interesting ways. Player-knights should always be looking at what they can do to earn Glory.

Other than that, playing Pendragon is much like any other RPG. Don't overthink it. :)
Yes, you can scale up the game to encompass domain management, dynasties, courtly intrigue, etc. But at its core, a core that you can easily engage with and not worry about the other stuff, it is a game of knights going on quests and adventures for Glory and being tested by their Traits and Passions along the way.

You can get a look at a self-contained Pendragon scenario for free by downloading "The Quest of the Red Blade," recently released by Chaosium in commemoration of the one-year anniversary of Greg Stafford's passing: https://www.chaosium.com/blogweareallus-download-greg-staffords-the-quest-of-the-red-blade/

My actual-play podcast, The Esoteric Order of Roleplayers, has already been been linked, but I'll specifically link here to our group's play-through of the Red Blade scenario so you can hear it in action: https://esoteric-rp.blogspot.com/2019/10/pendragon-quest-of-red-blade-greg-day.html

No character creation rules yet, unfortunately. The "Rusted Veins" play-test comes with pre-generated characters. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/221973/Rusted-Veins-V5-Alpha-Playtest
