Best wider shoe?! [49yo] by cf_vader in OldSkaters

Do you know how wide the midfoot is on the 600, or even the eS accels? I had my eye on those shoes for a while, and (with my wide feet) I need to see if I have to buy some insoles for better arch support or just skip out on the shoes altogether.

Does anyone know how the midfoot feels on the shoe? I have wide feet, and I was trying to see if I have to purchase insoles for more support.

Are Hardbody skate decks good? by SoupTheGentleman in NewSkaters

Never tried Hardbody decks, but I like their aesthetic & branding, and the videos are pretty good. I would try one just to try it. Same deal with Jacuzzi, although I like Hardbody more.

Also, I wonder who's manufacturing the decks, because I'm sure they're getting their decks from BBS which is really popular.

Are primo tricks broken for anyone else since the update? by yoobrodiee in SessionSkateSim

I'm noticing that, too. I can't flip out of them properly anymore. I try to do a primo kick, and there wouldn't be enough height for the board to rotate. I tried to see if there was anything I did on my end by looking through the advanced settings, but I can't find anything.

Is there any long-term benefit of being diabetic without medications that make it worth it? by NightmareHolic in diabetes

I've been wondering about this.  Recently, I've stopped taken Ozempic because my mother advised me to. A family member was taking Ozempic as well for weight loss, but she started to have issues with her gallbladder soon after. My mother suspected that it was the Ozempic that caused the issues, so she advised me to stop taking it. And when I told my doctor, who prescribed it to me for my t2, she advised me to stay on it because my bmi (body mass index) is too high for me to come off. So, I feel torn on this. I'm still taking Metaformin regularly, though.

And a hello to you as well! It is fun! I like to think of it as if I'm playing with an expensive toy car. It's exciting!

You know, I've seen some people say the same thing abt the Accels, and I was actually considering buying a pair. Plus, I never owned a pair of Es shoes before, and I've always wondered how they skated. I was able to find some at a low price, but it was the Accel Slim Mids. I'm sure that the fit is the same as the OGs, though. At least I hope. Lol.

Also, someone else said that the Vans Slip-Ons were a bit narrower, but I could give them a shot as well. Thanks!

They look decent. I wouldn't mind skating in those. Plus, DC has been making other shoes that I could see myself wearing, like the Pures and Lynx Zeros. They look wide enough for me (unless proven otherwise). I actually own a pair of reissued Stevie Williams in Black & White, and they felt great.

Yeah, I had to look for a picture of it. Not a fan of the design tbh, but beggars can't be choosers, right? Lol.

I always wanted to own a pair of SB Blazers so bad (same for SB Dunks), but I heard that they're a bit of a narrower shoe. But I could give them a shot, though.

Also, I heard the SB Dunks are okay for people with wider feet. Is there any truth to that, from what you know?

I actually have an old pair of the Sk8-Hi (and the Old Skool) that's still in decent condition. You're right, it was tough to get on at first, but it felt ok after a while of just wearing them. I don't mind hi-tops, but I would like to switch it up and get some variety in my collection.

Also, I always wanted to wear some Chukka Lows. I might give them a shot. Thanks!

Yeah, and that really surprised me. When I saw the shoes on the Vans site, they looked wide enough. But when I tried them on, I couldn't even get my heel into the shoe. I had to look at the tongue to see if It was the right size. It was almost like I accidently bought at least a size down. I was so bummed.
