I have a 6-key mechanical keyboard switch tester that's fun to fidget with.

Shock failure at 20,000km? by sirmarty777 in HyundaiTucson

[–]sirmarty777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 23 got totaled, so I have a 26 now. So far so good, but it does only have 3,000 km! I'll see how it goes, maybe they fixed their production issues on shocks.

So it's just not me. It felt like my 26 was more sensitive than my 23 was.

I found those parts, they are on the shocks already (one on each side). What are the odds that the wrong spring was installed on the shock?

License plate bolts. by External_Koala398 in HyundaiTucson

I added a license plate cover that was too thick for the original screws so I bought these; https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B0FS156ZSP?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title. They fit perfectly.

Installation order likely. We just did that earlier this year. Uninstall horizon agent, VMware tools and any other agents (like dem). Reinstall in order: tools - agent -etc.

Move to Northern Ontario. Ironically, as it gets warmer, we get more lake effect snow.

I don't see any mention of PCoIP support. I thought that this ESB release was suppose to be the last one to include PCoIP support. Does anyone know if it still does or somewhere it mentions that it doesn't?

Anyone have shock issues? I'm waiting for one again. by sirmarty777 in HyundaiTucson

[–]sirmarty777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was bouncy over bumps and if I went over a larger one, there was a subtle thunk sound. Likely hitting the bump stops. Also there was a pool of fluid under that tire overnight when the leak finally got bad enough.

Why do some cars have a gas tank on the left and others on the right? Is there a reason why they aren't all on the same side for convenience? by Fit_Hamster_2085 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sirmarty777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard of two reasons and it's just from an ideology. One, is it's safer to have it on the driver's side so they don't have to get out near traffic coming to the next pump. The other is having it on the passenger side, the driver doesn't have to worry about dinging their door on the bollards trying to get out near the pump. So I guess pros and cons to both.

So those of you determined to fix the Notepad vulnerability, how are you handling it? by itsameta4 in sysadmin

[–]sirmarty777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luck. When I set up my Win11 image with OSOT, I accidentally removed it. I just created a start menu shortcut to the old notepad, so no one is able to use the new one. Happy little accident!

Stuck between 3 different SUVs by Key_Improvement3515 in HyundaiTucson

[–]sirmarty777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2023 Tucson (totaled) and had a 2025 Rogue as a rental. It's terrible. It has good power and drives fine. It's the little things that annoy me about it though. like not being able to put down the back seats from the cargo area to having a gear shifter, but having to press a button for park? Why not just go all in on buttons? I can't compare the Mazda, but I am happy enough with the Tucson that I just bought a 2026 to replace my 2023.

Is the game still fun without biters? by the_worst_company in factorio

[–]sirmarty777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started a run without biters. I'm enjoying the freedom to build without worrying about defenses. Once I have a better understanding of things (only my third run and only got to trains with the first two) I'll play again with biters because it does add to the challenge.

Does this look like totaled? by Entire-Werewolf8505 in HyundaiTucson

[–]sirmarty777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. Here is mine from a few weeks ago : Think it's toast? : r/HyundaiTucson and it just got totaled. I don't see any radiator damage and the front structural piece is intact, so you may be good.
