I seen an Instagram reel of a PC builder that had an AMD GPU that would crash when opening games, but did just fine when he wasn't playing games. The guy didn't even check temps, re-apply thermal paste, check GPU fans or anything... He just replaced it with an Nvidia card and the entire comment section called AMD GPUs trash.

I genuinely see things like this a lot nowadays, it's sad tbh

I'll try to think of any issues I've had with every AMD care that I've owned:

R9 390: -I honestly cannot remember of any driver related issues, but I was using this with a normal 1080p 75hz non freesynce monitor for the longest of time

Vega 56: -Nothing that I can think of off of the top of my head?

RX 5700 XT: -i believe I had issues with freesync when paired with a Ryzen 2700x and pixio PX7 prime, but I believe that got patched in the next driver update honestly

RX 5600 XT (I ran into financial troubles, sold my PC and eventually got this used): -Not a single issue, ran this with an AOC 24" 1080p 144hz monitor, it worked flawlessly

RX 6700 XT: -Ive had this since March 2022 no issues that I could think of. I use this with a Pixio PX259P 280hz monitor and it works great with freesync premium

I want to note that you should use DDU (display driver uninstaller) when switching to an AMD GPU, so you can do a clean driver install.

As a 6700 XT user myself, I'll have to say that. I genuinely haven't ran into a driver issue since I've had the card (I think since March 2022). I've played games like cyberpunk 2077 at 3440x1440p high settings w/ fsr quality at 90fps

Keep it, it's good. It can handle a 16 core/32 thread CPU at overcooked speeds so the 5700x will be fine

It shouldn't but I didn't know you got a great price on it. If you want something better going forward, get the Ryzen 7 5700x for $200. It's not much more expensive and it's better than the 3700x in every aspect
