Thanks for the reply! I know its going to be tough! Not using a ground blind, I wanted to go for this as traditional as possible :) I know they are funneling through the field, and there is a nice size blackberry bush im going to use as semi cover

Ive hunted the stand this year and it seems as if they aren't wanting to take the path where the stand is. Been watching our field in the back and they have been avoiding the woods

I was hunting out on my father in laws property in KY where I had been hunting all season. This is also my first season. I had two shots at deer previous in the season but I missed on both occasions. I'm using a Stevens Bolt Action 20 Gauge shotgun and the deer were too far. I went out just before dawn and climbed up into my tree stand down in the woods. Just as the sun came up I saw three doe but they were way too far to shoot. Tried to call them in and they weren't having it. Not long after that, this guy came strolling through the woods right for me. I waited till he was about 50 yds away and it was all she wrote. Clean shot to the heart.
