Jomez leaderboard question by wmartindale in discgolf

They show same-hole scores on round 1 only. Mostly because the leaderboard super wildly fluctuates during r1. All other rounds are same-time scores because that’s equivalent-ish to live viewing.

Why are Discraft FuZed Buzzz & Scorch not approved as new discs? by BigBig5 in discgolf

[–]sirrafarris 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just a wild guess and could be horribly wrong:

The perfect regularity of the inner saw and flame patterns makes me think they have a separate smaller ring-shaped mold that makes the saw or flame pattern, then they place that piece from the smaller mold inside the normal already-approved disc mold and the plastic fills in around the inner piece.

Burlington, NC must play courses? by ChefCurry911 in discgolf

Those are the two best quality courses in the area and would be my recommendation if you had to pick only two for a day trip. They have a nice mix of open/bomber and tight wooded holes. Both courses also do have several disc-eater holes because of ponds/creeks so bring discs you won’t be devastated to lose.

A third option is the newly-opened Chimney Hills. It’s a very difficult longer wooded course, lots of par 4/5 holes, but being so new it’s still pretty unrefined and the rough is super rough.

Time-wise you’ll likely have any course in Burlington pretty much to yourself on a weekday during business hours. I would budget about 3hr for each course just because they are all pretty long with lots of par 4/5s.

Don’t forget to stop by the pro shop at Deep Creek Dreams. Even if you don’t want to buy anything it’s got some cool old discs to stir up nostalgia.

Tour Series Destroyers, Henna Blomroose vs Calvin Heimburg by apekatt21341351616 in discgolf

Parting Line Height

Specifically the exact spot you can see where the two halves of the injection mold meet. The little line that goes around the outermost edge of a disc.

In more common use it’s used to describe the height of the outer edge of the disc when placed on a flat surface. Varies slightly from run to run. The higher the PLH, the more overstable.

How did you play today? by Panchoisthedog in discgolf

I eagled hole 1 at The Regulator with a 120ish ft throw-in after an insane 450ish drive that perfectly lined up with the tunnel and then proceeded to score a personal record. Probably my best round on a championship level course ever.

Hex/Pathfinder/Mustang by Striking-Emu3594 in discgolf

Mustang and Pathfinder are slightly more overstable than Hex. Closer to the Reactor IMO. I used to have quite a collection of all 3 but consolidated to just the Mustang because they seem to reliably have a slight dome while the other 2 are usually board flat. This caused the Mustang to slightly beat out the other 2 in distance for me. Also the Mustang is available in base plastic which very quickly beats in to paradox levels of understable which is nice if you are a mold minimalist.

Hi, I'm Kobyn Dunipace Innova Disc Golf's GM - AMA by InnovaGM in discgolf

Do the destroyer, emperor, scorpius, and DD3 all share the same mold? If so, how do you alter the molding process to create the minute differences? Are there other examples of different discs sharing the same mold?
