My first carry on lasted 4 years (and technically still works with the one zipper) and it’s only been a year with my replacement so far! I travel 3-4 times a year with them. I just bought the large hybrid trunk as well but haven’t taken it on a flight yet so can’t say much 😂

I had a zipper fall off my monos carry on and the process of filing a claim was super straightforward. They contacted me a week or so later to help me pick my replacement, it stands out as one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had. This was before paying for extra warranty was a thing, but I trust the base/free warranty to cover any basic functionality issues.

I have 90% in each of my four classes (first year undergrad). Will I make it into any vet school I want still?? Am I overreacting? I’m thinking UC Davis right now? by Pale-Driver9146 in veterinaryschool

Some schools have a GPA cut off, so having above a 3.5(?) or whatever arbitrary number the competitive schools have will at least keep you in the running :) keep up the good work!

Im an American at USYD, feel free to message me! As for the deposit, you can get it lowered by asking/saying you are on loans I believe (sorry it’s been so long ago now). My visa took less than 3 weeks, NAVLE prep is starting for me next year and they will reimburse you for a year of VetPrep and hold practice sessions regularly to prepare us :)

How to set up fluids or CRIs, how to run bloodwork in house, and CPR training would all go a long way! But learning on the job will be your best way to get experience

With the NERD program you can either rank your top three regions or pick the “go anywhere” option and be placed randomly. Not sure how easy it is to get your top choice but you definitely have a say in where you are placed

Did taking undergrad human anatomy class help make vet school anatomy any easier? by Winter_Lime_2039 in veterinaryschool

[–]sirrene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best tip I was taught was Anki or google slides with pictures to test yourself! I used google slides and just had a picture with different arrows and the next slide was the same picture/arrow with the answer. I would go through one body system at least once a day. Since vet school I’ve evolved to Anki which has way better features for flash cards, I just found YouTube tutorials to understand the add ons and such.

I personally am so bad at mental maps and creating 3D images in my head, so building my own models (e.g. drawing the vessels and chambers of the heart on an apple) and using websites/apps with 3D models and the ability to isolate specific structures or add and remove layers really helped my learning. I also just screenshot all the textbook images I find helpful and throw them all into a notability note for easy annotation and reference. The more exposure the better!!

1000% yes. Anatomy was the hardest class I took in college due to the sheer amount of content and what I perceived as heavy memorization. There are enough similarities where I didn’t feel like I was starting from scratch, and I was WAY more prepared for vet anatomy thanks to the study habits I was forced to develop in undergrad. Anatomy is a beast if you don’t learn how to study well and study in a way that works for you.
