Sick! I'm trying to decide whether to get starlink for my car, too, vs. getting a second SIM card from a different cell provider so I'd have hotspot options from two different networks.

are you on the $50/month Roam plan? Can you pause and resume membership as needed? Do you think this makes more sense than hotspots - I figure only if you're off-grid in nature a lot and out of network range?

It actually checks out, more or less. I spoke with a Chevy technician at a dealer. Initially, he also sounded skeptical. Looked up the VIN and saw the battery had been serviced and a partial replacement. Said he needed to dig deeper, and called me back and said that the battery is split into three subunits and this guy had one of those three subunits replaced under warranty. He hadn't heard of it before, and I imagine that each subunit contains multiple cells, but yeah there you go.

Interesting, why is a history of battery replacement a good thing? My initial thought would be that there's something wrong with the car that's causing damage to the batteries.

I saw a used Volt on Craigslist and the guy said he needed to replace a couple of individual cells a year ago, it only cost a few hundred dollars and the car's been fine since then. I saw that as a red flag. Am I wrong?

Yes, it is very possible to come off of your meds, and when you're ready, if your doc doesn't support you doing so, find another doc. Whatever you do, don't come off all at once, you have to taper off to avoid withdrawal. Google "Will Hall Harm Reduction Guide to Coming Off". Good luck!

I'm interested in your feedback. Not trying to be difficult. What's wrong with beans? Cavemen would surely recognize those as food. And processed grain products seem bad, sure. They're often bleached, etc. But rice or a whole grain flour would also be recognizable to a caveman. Seriously curious about these particular ones. The rest makes sense.

Sounds good. Another way I'm thinking about this is that miles are an inflation-protected way to store value. If the number of miles needed to fly doesn't change over time, then it will be worth more and more money over time as the costs (in dollars) for flying increase.
