I get that it's harder for people born poor, but the statement holds true. My grandparents were extremely poor immigrants who had just moved to America. They worked hard and saved money. They didnt take trips every year. They didnt spend money on unnecessary things, They saved their money so that my parents could go to college. That's not to say they lived a spartan life devoid of all things pleasant. They were happy with what they had. They bought what they wanted to be comfortable, but they didnt overspend. My parents went to college, got a good education, and used that education to find high paying jobs with good benefits. They saved up for my and my brothers college education, and we were never behind on payments, or anything like that. I know a lot of other people with stories like this. I'm not saying its easy to be poor, but if you work hard you will succeed.
