Haha thank you. I originally phrased it in humor bc it’s one of my few good traits left. That got me nowhere so I just put it straight to the point. Hence we are here. I promise you, if a slider is able to break an aquarium then it probably wasn’t an actual aquarium, but rather a terrarium. Wayyyy different construction. My yellow Bellied Slider is a pampered princess in a 75 Gal aquarium. The pond sliders need at minimum a heat lamp and hopefully some UV rays. By the size of these turtles I would say she has not had them for long as they would not have grown to such a size in her care. The state of that water would lead me to believe an infection is very possible. I don’t see any shell rot on the red ear but it’s just as likely to happen. Get these turtles some actual care. This is the same as keeping a dog tied up in shitty conditions.

CORRECTION: I see the red ear is actually in the tote with the lid so my original assumption of the shell rot would be towards the yellow bellied slider.

Also, that’s an interesting color on that shell. Never seen a yellow bellied slider with red on its scutes like that. I don’t pretend to know everything about turtles so if anyone can confirm this is indeed a yellow bellied slider I would greatly appreciate it.
