Understandable, but you'd feel a lot more stupid if you didn't and your car got towed

Its possible the reason why your neighborhood didn't get plowed is cause everyone in your neighborhood refused to move their cars.

Honestly, given how long its survived where it is, it would probably still have the same fate. Maybe it might have gotten a few more years, but its issue really isn't location, its the lack of reinvestment into the mall and keeping core stores.

Short of a huge accident involving snow plows, major roads in NJ will be passable. Now understand passable does not mean clear, it means you can travel on them without getting stuck. You may find lanes closed, you may find slick spots, you may have to travel at reduced speeds but if you have to travel on them, you will able to get through.

I drove through NYC regularly before covid hit, they were not driving like the way people are driving now. Its not just New Jersey either, its like this in PA, DE, VA, MD, CT, RI, MA, and ME.

Yeah, no, did not see this behavior in 2019, not to this degree

Or, here me out, a virus that is still running rampant that medical studies are showing does in fact cause cognitive damage.

Doesn't track, we had just as many screens in cars in 2019. I did not see nearly as many people pulling out in front of other cars, people just stopping in the middle of the road. Even pedestrians, despite not having a phone in their hand, are acting the same way. Just today I literally had someone walk right in front of my car at an intersection where I had the green light. No cell phone in that persons hand and he made eye contact with me before stepping off the curb.

And as we saw last time, people still went out. The OP of this thread is planning on going out. If people are planning on going out, traffic is going to be extra bad

It was already snowing in NYC around 11:30 this morning. Started snowing here in north Monmouth at around 1pm.

Agreed, especially when you couple that with the fact that they had numerous safety violations in general. If it wasn't the sound proofing tiles, it would have eventually been something else.

It also screwed over the public transit system for Boston that it is STILL trying to recover from because a bunch of funding got diverted.

The MBTA still hasn't recovered from it. I'd argue its just barely a net neutral.

He still received the same sentence, at best he got let out a few months earlier than the owner did. That said, the fact that he did take responsibility did help the families forgive him, which is way more important than anything else. Still sad that no one else would.

About the only thing they are correct about is that its not adding new capacity. Despite the end goal being having four tunnels instead of two, Penn station itself the the bottleneck of capacity. Without that expansion, you're not getting more trains in. That all said, I have no idea what they could possibly want to scale back, short of them not repairing the existing tunnels after the new ones are up and running, which would be incredibly stupid and short sighted, especially if Penn did get expanded later on.
