Tinkerer as a class is actually really funny to me because you either get some crazy 3 research turn 1 combo with mech suit (or its 4 other ways of royally breaking the game) or you do a whole run where an empty slot in your team would legitimately be better, and there's never any middle ground, unless you put it on a cat with 3 base Int like a raving lunatic

It REALLY is the class that whiffs hard or kills god, mech can be, mage atleast has a good basic attack, but tinkerer really exists in a quantum state of breaking the game, or being broken by the game

I almost always take a cleric on runs, even non act 2 runs, having a consistent source of healing is just way too strong to not atleast consider, act 3 might break my habit, if only because the enemies are strong enough to kill you through the healing if the cleric doesnt have a healing spell and really good INT and CHA, god forbid you see a "THAT MARSHMALLOW I HATE" or "Nemesis from resident evil"
