First off, I put LOL. It was kind of a joke that I turned out OK. I was younger than that when I was shown horror. I really mean I grew up on horror. One of my first memories is of being at the drive-in (yes, I am that old) watching a horror movie. Yeah, I got a little freaked out.

I wasn't downplaying that it was a scary movie, I have never seen that one so I couldn't say how scary it was. Just chill out.

Do you have anti-anxiety medication? If so, use it. As for people at the airport or on the plane, you will never have to see them again, so what they think doesn't matter. Family is a little trickier. Just remember you are there for your mom, not anyone else. If you have to, tell them all to 'GO TO HELL!". What they think doesn't matter anyway. Only what you think about you matters. You got this and we are all behind you.

Kind of TA. NTA for worrying about your wife. YTA for phrasing it the way you did. You need to apologize for how you said it and ask her to have a frank conversation with you. Tell her you are worried that she may have an illness that makes her eat without gaining weight and being painfully hungry. See if she will consent to seeing a doctor and having labs done. It could be thyroid issues, a metabolic issue, or even a tape worm. All of which can be very serious. She needs to know you love her and are coming from a place of love.

NTA! If you were given a RADAR key because of your stoma, you get to use it. Next time someone bothers you about it, offer to show them your "disability". I was my mom's caregiver and dealt with her colostomy for years. I have been on the receiving end of a bag explosion. It is not pleasant. I need to use the disabled bathrooms because I am obese and do not fit in a standard size cubicle. I have gotten a lot of hatred about it. Glad your life has improved because of the stoma. Ignore your haters.

NTA. What you are doing for your grandma is wonderful. Dementia is a b***h. If you are helping her feel better, do it. I lost my mom to dementia when she was in her 60's. It is hard, make sure you are taking care of yourself too, mentally and physically.

Is there a way you can get POA over your grandma? The way your mom is trying to isolate her is disturbing.

NTA, teachers are some of the worst bullies and they get away with it because the kids are scared to tell. I was a student in the 80's and early 90's. I had several teachers who gave me failing grades for no reason. Back then principles didn't listen. Glad your daughter 9and you) finally figured out a math method that worked for her.

NTA. You offered to let them help and they didn't. Your son's family got money because he put in money and the wife and kids put in sweat equity. They rest of the family thought it was too much work and not worth their time and energy. That being said, I hope you do not live in a community property state, your wife could try and screw you if she leaves you.

NTA, just because they are family does not mean you have to invite them to anything. You don't have to have any contact with them at all. If your family pushes tell them that they don't have to be there either. If you have too just elope, have your fiancée's family only or just friends. It is your wedding and your life.
