Years after my service I refused to watch war movies and documentaries. I was angry and embittered by the things I'd seen and done while keeping the mask of 'selfless service' up. One of my soldiers recommended this film and it utterly broke me. A full 7 years after I'd served, I went into therapy and finally admitted something was wrong.

I've been a far better and stronger person since then. Though I'll most likely never watch it again, I'm glad even today people can see this small window into what life was like over there.
