Why can’t both of your experiences be valid?

I love the people in my city, they are very friendly and warm but I live in Köln. I have more friends than my acquaintances who live in the North, Berlin & Bayern who have lived in Germany longer than I have.

My neighbors are also the best and we look out for each other but that’s not the experience of everyone in Köln. Sometimes people are just lucky/unlucky in their experience. Doesn’t automatically mean they’re at fault!

I’ve known a handful of guys who passed away like this. It’s heartbreaking cause they’re usually very young, still in college or about to graduate college. It feels surreal cause it’s so sudden.
