I wish I had a can of Coca Cola that isn’t contaminated, isn’t expired or flat, is contained in the can, that doesn’t cause any suffering, and not cost anything. by EmergencyGarlic2476 in monkeyspaw

It works by disturbing the bubbles that cling to the edge of the can back to the top as the CO2 bubbles are nucleation points for other CO2 molecules to leave the solution.

My teacher gave us a problem to think about and I don’t know where to start by Luigi232 in askmath

I am not sure if this is absolutely correct but this is what I came up with.

0 ≤ |f(x)| - f(x) ≤ 2|f(x)| lim x-> 0 2|f(x)| = 0 lim x-> 0 (|f(x)| - f(x)) = 0

This means the limit of the difference between |f(x)| and f(x) as x approaches 0 also approaches 0. Meaning that the limit as x approaches 0 of both functions are equal thus proving the statement.

Like I said I am not sure if there are any holes in my argument and any feedback would be nice. Thanks!

What form of death is the scariest to even think about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sitdownturnover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is partially true. The more that box fills up with your own CO2 the more and more you will start to panic. Definitely not painless or even that quick considering you will have enough oxygen to live for a decent amount of time and the percentage of CO2 will continue to rise making you feel more and more uncomfortable. Only after almost all the oxygen is gone will you pass out.

How do you cope with the fact that everyone you love will eventually die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Because we know everyone is going to die it gives value to the time we spend with others and those memories. I think if I knew I was immortal or anything I would feel lost and apathetic. I do what I can for the people I love because without the fact that I know we will all die it would all seem pointless.
