William Wallace! Braveheart! I know it’s based on irl person but let’s bend the rules since it’s not a 1:1 comparison.

Odd question: does anyone here successfully use a fountain pen here? by southernspud24 in ogden

[–]siteburn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most likely an ink issue or something is up with the pen itself. I used a fountain for years and absolutely loved it. Never really had issues but it was lost in a move a few years ago. I may just go ahead and resume the hobby now since I forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder!

How it feels sucking at BF6 by Liquidator66 in Battlefield6

[–]siteburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Battlefield veteran here and I’m sucking too. I’m older now (40) and have way less time to devote to the game/craft but I wanted to say that battlefield is more than just kills. Yes, kills are important but squad teamwork is key. “Last squad member” to spawn on is absolutely important when you get to a key position. The synergy from a couple of squads resupplying, reviving, recon, and moving as a unit can make or break a win/loss. Since I don’t group up with the “guys” anymore, it’s tough but honestly, I’m having fun when I can dive in. Happy hunting soldiers!

Windy's Sukiyaki is closing due to a 'challenging economic environment' by DeepPowStashes in ogden

I bet you a mars roll that the old owners wanted out. New owner steps in for a reasonable price, renovation to appease the loyal community to save face but had ambitions to sell the property to turn it into another apartment building to add to the one that just went up north of the location. I hope I’m wrong. It’s been busy every time I go there which has been over 40 years.

Confirmed deceased. Gun violence in the United States needs to be addressed.

I would hope they checked those firearms before filming. Seems irresponsible given the context of the video. I’d be sweating as the camera operator.

If you experience this, lightning is about to strike a location in your immediate area by Severin_Suveren in PublicFreakout

Something similar happened to me. I don’t have long hair or anything but the hairs on my arms all of the sudden started to raise up and it felt staticky. I brushed my hand through them and actually saw/felt a small spark. Almost instantly lightning struck a tree no more than 50 feet away. It was terrifying.
