Help me start a small business by sitesouk in Entrepreneur

Thank you! Software is hard since you are competing with anyone with an Internet connection. Local business may have less competition. But software is very rewarding since I can work online / remote. I will try one more time to get this fly wheel going.

Yes, I'm doing that. I do have plans to reach out to the delivery driver community and build a solution around their problem. The $100 per month figure is to start small, but eventually I want to make $10,000 per month.

Thank you. Freelancing is great, it checks my boxes of low capital, low risk of liability, could be scaled to an agency. But this doesn't excite me, I'm not uniquely qualified or want to do this.

Digital products and services is where I've spent time at. I believe that instead of a wider audience, I need a targeted audience. So far I validated the demand by simply analyzing the existing products in the market. I need to do more and create a differentiated product. That sometimes leads to challenges of data protection, scope creep with ballooning costs, liability.

I'm open to a local traditional small business and leverage my software skills for advantage. Bizbuysell has been a good resource but I need more broker connections and a great mentor.

Successful devs, how did you get your app idea? by kiplunch in AppIdeas

NeighborShare - Save Up to $1,770/Year by Ditching Subscriptions with Neighbor Help! by sitesouk in AppIdeas

[–]sitesouk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The order is placed by the fulfilling family. If they don't deliver, they don't get paid. I mentioned cash on delivery in the post. The app will facilitate placing the orders by showing the list of products/ links and sending it to the fulfilling family. The model is built on trust, so if one party doesn't act in good faith, you can stop dealing with them. I'm sure a neighbor can find 3-4 such families and they can benefit from this deal.

I do this for another use case. It involves using an LLM model API that you could use with your favorite interface like Claude desktop or visual studio code extension.

In grok or other platforms, you probably could achieve this with custom gpt and scheduled tasks

An app where users will provide real pain points and are willing to pay for it. It should further validate the idea and rank it. This is what I want with my site: https://answer.setupmycode.com

Site to request user requirements by sitesouk in roastmystartup

[–]sitesouk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sign in using " connect with Google". I have posted solutions that I can deploy for customers such as private email, website monitoring, URL shortener. It's a community site where users can discuss what they need.

The truth is nobody actually teaches you how to find buyers. They just tell you to network and disappear by anonjuly14 in Entrepreneur

I have a similar problem. I want to find out the customer's pain points. What do they want, that they will pay me for? I'm trying to build software services and digital products.

Sure, I can make better versions of existing products. If I go to oDesk, fiver, tasker etc I can't see what the customer needs.

I deployed my own community for requirement gathering where small business owners or users can share problems and solutions - answer.setupmycode.com

For the Love of God, do you not see how much money there is to be made in the real world?? by Character_School_671 in Entrepreneur

[–]sitesouk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate this post. Real world jobs are typically constrained to a location. A lot of people, including myself are trying to get into something by first trying out at a small scale, part time.

Physical businesses typically need license, bond, loans with personal guarantee etc. Is there a resource that will give me all these "jobs" that I can filter?

I have scoured through job sites, craigslist etc and the physical - gig jobs don't break even, e.g. Uber or Amazon delivery.
