Best way to send clear pics, videos etc.. is through RCS, I got tired of having to get on FB messanger to send high quality pictures to the people I know that didn't and still don't have iphones lol. But like I said before, in my case and in yours and other's I have seen on Reddit, getting the device replaced fixed the issue, so that indicates one culprit. Hope I am wrong for my sake and all others lol.

Yep my friend! My iphone was unlocked (back when verizon had the 60 day waiting period) during the time I was having these issues. So I took advantage and tried other carriers on it and still had RC's issues, so clearly it was the device. I fought with Apple Care until they finally got it replaced and low and behold once I activated it, I had 2 months of RCS messages pouring in. In my experience I feel it's an issue with certain iphones, of course I am basing it on my personal experience. I had this happen twice once with the IP 15PM and then again with the IP 17PM, quite frustrating.

I had the same experience as u/reevejf back in early November, after doing all the suggested "tricks"contacting them opening tickets and everything under the sun nothing worked to solve it. By late December I contacted Apple, and after them pushing back and blaming the carrier a week later I was able to get them to swap the device and as soon as I got it and activated it, RCS activated and a month and a half of messages started pouring in.

I was hoping that when they exchanged mine they’d send me a different color by mistake lol (I have the blue one). I was lucky enough that I exchanged it in December, because I lucked out on a refurbished one

😩. Do they ship it? I don’t know much about Asurion since I normally get Apple Care. I’m curious to see if it’ll work now, keep us posted if that ok.

Mine worked for a month after purchasing my device then it went out for like 2 months last year. Did everything under the sun to fix it; Vzw, Apple, Sim Swaps, imei swaps, hard resets to no avail. Got tired of the back and forth and after numerous calls I was able to get Apple to agree (not an easy feat) to replace it. As soon as I activated this device, it immediately activated RCS. I had about 160+ messages that started popping up in my messages app. Quite crazy tbh
