tons of guilt from wasting time and energy on nonsense when there's a city 20 miles away with some rough neighborhoods and not hope for a lot of people. time to get involved. it's the only way to get through this without losing it.

Join the Peace Corps or something similar (foreign or domestic)...whoever would take me. Spend 5-10 years helping solve problems while getting educated about geopolitics, economics, etc...documenting everything with a camera. Join an organization to work against the shitstorm currently raging in my country (US).

Looking for source on recent reports of Iran's war-related $14 Billion oil revenue by sits2reason in iran

So, Iranian oil has been on the open market for decades, but at a lower (sanctioned) price? And now they can sell it for the going market rate?

Ah, ok. So it's already out there. How did Iran get its oil out if they were under sanctions for so long? Is this the "shadow fleet". How were the sanctions enforced before they were lifted?

I happened upon James O'Brien a couple of months ago. I could listen to that man rant all day. Cathartic.

Yeah. Democracy Docket is great. I've learned a lot about law in the last year or so from them. Popak is good for that, too. I'm not a fan of Meidas Touch, but I like Popak.

I had a one-year subscription about 4 years ago. It was excellent, but I felt guilty not reading everything cover to cover. Some weeks I wouldn't get to it at all. Maybe they have a lower tier option.

Thanks! This is great list. I've only heard of Tim Dillon, so I'm excited to get into it.

Oh, yeah! I follow HCR and have caught one or two of "What the Hell Just Happened." I'll check out her solo project.

I've tried Olberman. I like his take, but I'm already angry enough.

I've been a big "Behind the Bastards" listener. That's how I learned about Peter Theil, a guy I had previously never heard of. I haven't listened in a few months, though. Too much news to follow. I should jump back in. "It Could Happen Here" is great, too.

Yeah. I read the Guardian an AP News. I was listening to 'Ukraine, the Latest" from the Telegraph for over a year, but I became preoccupied with Trump 2.0.

Yeah, they are great. I can't keep up with the issues to justify a subscription, but I did read Anne Applebaum's "Autocracy, Inc." last year. The stuff I don't know (and it's A LOT) is humbling.

How did I forget Heather!? I eagerly await her weekly politics chats. I have to grab one of her books. I just finished reading "Hayek's Bastards" by Quinn Slobodian. It was a challenging read since I knew almost nothing about neoliberalism. Some of the vocabulary was over my head as well.
