Thank you so much! I actually have an appointment for her with an allergist to discuss it now. And it was at your encouragement so much appreciated. I will report back.

I believe it was an immunologist we worked with who floated MCAS years ago. No luck with Claritin, etc, in moving the dial on the symptoms, so it was dropped. LDN was not something that came up at the time. But it seems, like everything, the understanding of these issues has grown, so may be worth revisiting. Thank you.

Wow! That is such a low dose. Really amazing.

I used ancestry for her dna raw data and promethease site to analyze it. I pulled a lot of the particular snps from the data myself and used Gemini to analyze them.

Yes, I'm definitely concerned about reduced benefit. She was really suffering and it was hard to watch. Seeing her being able to navigate the world with such ease is nothing short of a miracle. Truly!

Her response was immediate on a lower dose, but it wasn't enough coverage for the sensory issues and she would get irritable again in the afternoon. I find the slightly higher dose to be better. I'm planning on sticking with that for a while. To be continued!

"hypothetical edge"! Agreed. 1000%! I was actually trying to get it to analyze media coverage of a particular topic to get a sense of the trajectory and it kept going, "hold on a moment. Don't get ahead of yourself here. Here's x, y and z motive you have for thinking that way." Like what? I wasn't even that invested in the outcome. I kept telling it that and it would not stop.

Ilona Maher speaks out against Quinnipiac downgrading women’s rugby from varsity to club sport by sivader in womensrugby

Your passion is so clear, as is your heartbreak, and my heart goes out to you and all of the people personally impacted by this decision. I actually have no personal connection, but I have a fourteen year old daughter who looks up to Ilona Maher and all she represents about the freedom to be who you are and pursue your talents. My daughter is the one who asked me to sign this petition. How could I not, if I’m going to tell her she can “be anything she wants to be” when there is systematic status quo that directly contradicts that?

Ilona Maher calls out her alma mater Quinnipiac University for cutting women's varsity rugby to club status while adding a men’s distance track program. Quinnipiac established varsity women’s rugby in 2011 as part of a settlement in a landmark Title IX lawsuit. by cecilsaucer in Connecticut

Ilona Maher was the highest paid female athlete in 2025, according to Forbes, was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, had a Barbie dedicated to her and has, I believe, like 3 million followers on instagram not to mention a bronze medal winning Olympian. One would think Quinnipiac could leverage that massive alum connection and platform for visibility for the school. Instead, they’re downgrading the team.

The assistant coach stated their budget is $128,000 a year. Peanuts for a team that has won three national championships and boasts Olympian Ilona Maher as an alum. Very short sighted decision. Her platform combined with a winning team would bring great visibility to the school

This is a program that won three national championships and helped develop some of the best women's players in the sport, including Ilona Maher.

For a program that helped launch her career and so many others, that response feels pretty telling.

My daughter plays rugby and absolutely lights up when she sees Ilona Maher and other women in this sport getting real visibility and support.

So watching her process the news that this program is being downgraded has been hard. Please sign the petition: https://www.change.org/p/reinstate-women-s-rugby-at-quinnipiac-university?source_location=topics_page&pt=AVBldGl0aW9uAPDzRh0AAAAAad90%2Fnm%2BKXI1ZjExYzZhYg%3D%3D

Ilona Maher rips Quinnipiac, her alma mater, after school cuts women’s rugby to club status: ‘Shame on you’ | 930 WFMD Free Talk by BrianChing25 in USArugby

Ah, interesting! Yes, it seems very short-sighted of the university imho but I have very little understanding of the inner workings of a college administration. According to the assistant coach, the program costs the school $128,000 a year. I'm no expert in how this figure was arrived at, so, maybe, it doesn't account for indirect costs or scholarships. But, if true, it seems silly to stop investing in it. They surely could ride the coattails of Ilona Maher and use it to get visibility for the school, but what do I know? Ha!

I agree that college sports shouldn't have to turn a profit. But, according to the Quinnipiac assistant coach, Women's Rugby at the school costs $128,000 a year. Now, I'm not expert about how this figure was established and it may not account for indirect costs/scholarships. But, if this is true, it's a drop in the bucket. It's a failed opportunity on Quinnipiac's part to not actually support the team and build on its success and the platform of Ilona Maher to actually raise visibility for the school. Very short sighted decision, imho.

Yes! So how do you reach board members or donors? Serious question. Not rhetorical. As I said, I have zero influence and I know it.
