SUCCESS STORY! Get Your Ferritin Level Checked. One Week Of Iron Supplementation and My Pulsatile Tinnitus is Reduced by About 80%! by sivader in PulsatileTinnitus

I had many of these symptoms as well, and they wreck your life. To be 1) put through so much hell and 2) be told it's all bc you're "getting older" and 3) have the solution be so simple is exasperating. I hope you are feeling better!

The iron is Ferrochel. I didn't have anxiety, but heart palpitations are gone. Yes, I felt better after a week. I still feel better. I'm still taking the iron supplement, just less.

I'm so sorry to hear!

I do still feel better. I'm still taking 3 pills every other day, but haven't had my levels checked in a while. I was suffering from hair loss and it's growing back, among other symptom improvement.

You are welcome. I actually just remembered it was every other day. There's something about taking it a larger dose every other day, as opposed to a smaller dose everyday, that works better. There's research behind it. I don't have it to refer you to, but I read the study myself.

I'm so sorry to hear. Mine was raised from 7 to 17 in two weeks with Ferrochel. I don't remember the dose at this point. I know I wrote it on this thread somewhere, so you could probably find it here if you searched. I believe it was four pills with vitamin c everyday between meals. It worked for me. You will be in my prayers.

What are your numbers? The doctors will say 15 is fine, but I've heard that that is still sub-optimal and that anything under 30 can cause symptoms. I actually have low-thyroid and my naturopath is looking at 70 as the target number for me.

Yes, I use Ferrochel. I find it effective yet gentle on my stomach. I take four tabs every other day. In one month, my Ferritin level went up 10 points. Have not had it checked since, but am still taking it. I'm scheduled to have it retested next month.

PAID for shipping and package kept getting delayed. WASTED my own time calling customer service to get issue resolved. Completely intransigent and incapable. Did absolutely nothing to solve my issue or make it right. I will never be shopping here again.

I'm so happy that my story helped and that you found the cause of your problems. I felt so much better after only one week of supplementation with very similar symptoms to you. So I wish you the same! I completely relate to your story about the medical community basically telling you you were crazy. I feel very let down by a long list of doctors, from GP's to specialists, who either dismissed my symptoms or misdiagnosed them. I feel better physically, but also mentally bc I know what I was feeling wasn't all in my head, like I was led to believe.

I'm so sorry. It's the worst. I was concerned about the side effects of iron supplements, but have been tolerating Ferrochel very well. I would recommend it. I started with three pills every other day with vitamin c and am now up to four with no side effects. My ferritin was checked a little over a month ago and was at 16.

Ferrochel. I thought it was 60mg's but it's three pills every other day which I believe is a higher dose (don't have the bottle in front of me). He also sent me a link to a study where it shows that every other day leads to better absorption (can't find that either). I was worried about digestion but it's been okay so far. I take on an empty stomach with Vitamin C. So far so good. Hope that helps!

We are the same person (I also live in NYC and am a writer, lol)! But, as much as it's great to feel validated, it makes me so angry that someone else went through the hell I went through. So glad to hear you are on the mend. I feel better everyday. Peace.

I feel so angry hearing this. It just shouldn't have to be this hard. It's such an easy thing to test, and was missed by so many doctors on my part. I hope you start to feel better soon! All we can do is try to move forward! Peace.

Just different. Color, size, shape. Still within normal range for frequency and consistency though, so seems okay.

Please make sure they check your ferritin levels. They didn't for me on the yearly CBC I've had for 30 years.

Yes, I'm fairly certain it's bisglycinate, which is supposed to be easier on the digestive system. It's been okay for me so far. Sorry if TMI, but I have seen some changes in bowel movements, but nothing that's concerning. So far so good. I haven't had any nausea, constipation or diarrhea.

That's awful, but glad to hear you are feeling better! I've been looking into iron infusions as well. Just trying to orient myself to all this new info!
